If he has done anything over the years, it had virtually no effect at all. Just think of all the weak serves by the likes of Matsutomo, Tanaka, Matsuyama, the dangling nerves of AY, Ohori, Nagamatsu, Fukuhiro, Shidamatsu, TanaYone whenever matches (especially against non-Japanese opponents) get close... The majority of Japanese female players had issues for several years, and I honestly can't see any improvement at all. Axelsen at least tried something. He had some ex special forces guy turn him into a howler monkey this year. Granted, he still lost all the important matches, but at least we could hear (literally) that he was working on his weakness. If I had to guess, I'd say team Japan are not employing a sports psychologist, or at least not a very good one.
Anyone know where to watch full-length matches of the games? I want to watch Endo/Watanabe vs Ivanov/Sozonov...
There's this but watch it fast because IOC will take it down soon Sent from my SM-G988W using Tapatalk
I dont think Praveen cares who he plays against in QF. Maybe its this kind of attitude that exactly can put fear to opponents lol. Has seen 3 insipid performances, they simply got away with 2 wins...in a sense, i wouldnt mind if they are out in QF if they play like this.
What a disappointing performance by Jordan. No care for the match… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Makes me remember one instance. Indian hockey team is full of chokers, they choke at WC and OG, so media started demanding a sports psychologist for the team to which our Indian National Hockey team coach (an Indian) a couple of years back replied "Are we mad that we have to take help of a psychologist, we are fine without a psychologist". Talk about narrow mind and arrogance. I believe sports psychology is an integral part to distinguish champions from good players ala Lin Dan, Djokovic, Phelps, Bolt, etc. Especially in today's generation.
Oh well, if DechSapsiree lost then the rankings make little difference..that will really make exciting QF draw.
I think they are following PraMel's style of not caring for this match and more concerned with saving energy/concealing strats. No way they could lose to Ellis and Smith on any day.
I thought Oktavianti was being dominated by WataHiga and Jordan couldn't follow through. But Watanabe is amazing though!
yes i think so because the seeds now make little difference other than China avoiding each other until Final unlike the top seeds where they go all out and if they happened to lose in QF, then its too bad they already win a lot of titles.
