CHN are not only resilient but they are calm and collected the whole match and especially in the deciding moments.

    CL yesterday and HBJ today.

That's why I am seeing CYF going very far. The normal CYF is a scary scary scary player. I can't imagine how she will be in this Olympics.

I will be the first to admit that I was wrong about HBJ. Much congratulations to her. 21-14 in the 3rd set.

Can see she worked extremely hard on her conditioning to match Okuhara on the stamina standpoint.

Okuhara played well, HBJ just played better.

A nightmare for Japan. Okuhara's loss might play on Yamaguchi's mind, she's the last one standing for now apart from the XD team.

Lucky both HBJ and CYF are in the top half of the draw, else we might see an all CHN WS final.
If they do meet in semi, hope Zhang Jun don't internally decide the winner before the match.

Her attacks were more effective than Okuhara's attack. It caused Okuhara to fear the clears a bit and made her move. Last G3 Okuhara moved much more than HBJ.

I saw a bit of CYF style in HBJ today.

Could be CYF vs HBJ semis, that will be a cracking match.

HBJ beat CYF at a internal Chinese team tournament very early on this year.

Just watched NO lose to a much better playing opponent. Well tried Japan.
Have all Chinese teams decided to lose 1st Set , then stage a comeback and take other 2 sets comfortably. Going on since yesterday

Yes, she won many points with her cross court angled smash, very effective. But her stamina was the big difference imo. Just kept running, retrieving, one more shot back.

If I remember correctly, Morten Frost said this: "It's not how you start, it's how you finish". All of the Japanese players win first set but ended off losing. Interesting isn't it?

Congrats to He Bingjiao, well-earned spot in the Olympic semis. She looks noticeably skinnier and substantially more fit.

Another thing I noticed is her breathing, when the camera zooms in on her face after long rallies she isn't breathing hard at all, whereas before she was practically gasping for air.

I wonder how much time Chinese team dissect NO's play vs ZBW. HBJ knows exactly what to do against HBJ yet yesterday she was losing so bad.
