i felt like Akane was picking up on the shot selections and placements from PVS towards the end of the match, but PVS prevailed and retrieved everything after her attacks
Congratz to Sindhu! Somehow, I don't think Sindhu wanted to go to a 3rd set because Yamaguchi wanted to make the rallies long, make the match long, and run Sindhu out of gas. But Sindhu delivered and sealed the deal, which should give Sindhu more rest before the semi-finals. Now Sindhu must hope that RI can eliminate TTY. If RI can eliminate TTY, I like Sindhu's chances against RI.
So only one bronze for Japan? so sad for Japan team, I was very confident that Japan team will grab at least one gold.
I think many of the fans forget that this is most of the Japanese players first Olympics ever added with the amount of pressure of them winning in their home country. I have to admit I am one of them.
