I agree. Just don't like those harsh criticisms on the players that had lost. They tried their hardest and couldn't win it. Give them credits too.

I think zheng siwei can be successful too in md given the right partner, but seems china want to stop this double duty thing. such a shame.

Hm.. congrats to CHN again I suppose.

Defeating Wang/Huang yesterday was too much for the HGK pair?

It's just freaking ridiculous that clapping.
Why is so hard to first thank the opponent and then go to the coaches. Annoys me eyertime...
I can understand it a little if you have a close match and you need someone to let your emotions out or sth but in such a one sided match....

More like the Chinese players played the whole week at the WC, while the INA players had a nice long break

Looks like the stadium was not well attended for the two finals...
Atmosphere wasn't great either today (expect INA was playing), sad for such a big event

Another badminton gold medal for China, Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong are too strong for Tang Chun Man/Tse Yingsuet today, so many errors by HKG duo, mishit into the net, pushing the shuttlecock wide, quite lopsided match, 21-8 / 21-15. China has found formidable combination post Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei era. After topped podium in Nanjing, now Zheng/Huang clinch Asian Games gold, superb action.

    Mixed Doubles medalists
Gold - Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong (CHN)
Silver - Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet (HKG)
Bronze - Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir (INA) ; Wang Yilu/Huang Dongping (CHN)

I really hate the term 'female LCW' for a player that didn't win even 10% of his SS/PSS titles, no AE, never was WR#1...such an overblown comparison. She may get close to his achievements, but she's not even halfway there at this point. Its like calling Marin the female LD, preposterous. At least for now.
Great tournament performance from her though, congrats.

Yeah I just think the whole home crowd effect gets overblown. If you have the right mindset, a crowd cheering for the opponent can motivate you just as much as one cheering for you. Depending on the player, it might do so even more :D LD was the type for that, slightly antagonistic and a bit of a 'prove you wrong' attitude...BoMo werent too bad at it either.
