Wow what a match and what a victory !

    Best match of the day

Longest match of the day as well (one of only 2 matches going to three games surprisingly)

    • Women's Singles Semifinal
    • Men's Doubles Semifinal
    • Women's Doubles Gold Medal Match : Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan (CHN) v Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi (JPN)
    • Mixed Doubles Gold Medal Match : Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong (CHN) v Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet (HKG)
Indonesian men's singles players are roaring at homeground Asian Games, Anthony Ginting continues his excellent run to crush the Olympic Champion Chen Long. The opening game sees turnaround when Chen Long leads 12-6 at early stages then slowly but sure Ginting closes the gap and seizes the momentum, 21-19. It's more comfortable way for Ginting to down under pressure Chen, 21-11. Practically, this should be last chance for Chen Long to win Asian Games gold as he will turn 33 years old in Hangzhou 2022. Jonatan Christie books another semifinal spot for host Indonesia in this category, tames Wong Wing Ki, 21-11 / 21-18. So many upsets are created and the underdogs perform beyond expectation. Christie will take on Japanese number two Kenta Nishimoto who knocks out Son Wan Ho while Ginting has Chou Tien Chen to seek final berth. No impossible to witness All Indonesian finals on Tuesday gold medal match.

Tai Tzu Ying shows her prowess to beat Nozomi Okuhara, 21-15 / 21-10 and will face former Indian number one Saina Nehwal who eliminates Thailand ace Ratchanok Intanon, 21-18 / 21-16. A good news for Indian badminton fans as Pusarla Sindhu also marches to semifinal, she drops second game against Nitchaon Jindapol before regains her focus to seal the tie, 21-11 / 16-21 / 21-14. Sindhu finds familiar foe Akane Yamaguchi, rematch of current world meet semifinal, the Japanese starlet takes revenge to frustrate Chen Yufei this time, 21-19 / 21-11.

A possible for The Minions versus Towering Chinese in men's doubles final if both of them could pass semifinal hurdle tomorrow. Gideon/Sukamuljo win over Goh V/Tan WK in two close games, 22-20 / 21-19 and set up a clash with Chinese Taipei duo Lee JH/Lee Y. Meanwhile Li JH/Liu YC have easy job to do in quarters and will take on home promising pair Alfian/Ardianto, head to head stats display 3-1 for the world champion but they need to have nerves of steel to play at Istora Senayan.

Chen QC/Jia YF twist the plot and deny all Japan affairs for gold medal contention, amazing performance by the young Chinese and 2017 World Champion to tackle powerful rival top-seed Fukushima/Hirota, 21-17 / 21-8. They will meet world number two and more experienced Japanese combination, Matsutomo/Takahashi who dispose Indonesian leading pair Polii/Rahayu, 21-15 / 21-17. It will be interesting final between these two nations who secure top two position in overall Asian Games medal standing.

Zheng SW/Huang YQ prove their reputation as new world champion to overcome two-time World Champion, the high-profile local heroes Ahmad/Natsir. A sad ending for Liliyana Natsir who can't close her illustrious badminton career with AG gold medal. The Chinese are faster and solid to trouble the veterans in front of ferocious home supporter and will meet Hong Kong lefthanders Tang CM/Tse YS who pass thrilling match against world number two Wang YL/Huang DP in 75 minutes, 22-20 / 19-21 / 23-21. On paper prediction, Zheng/Huang will win Asian Games gold considering their positive trend and great performance here.
