Well I do not understand this at all. If Saina loses to Mew Choo, both would have won one match each. Then won't MC go through as she would have defeated Saina???

Laybourn/ Rytter-Juhl v Sudket/Saralee or Limpele/Marissa(based on TS standing)
Widianto/Natsir v Clark/Kellogg

not only match count...set and points also count in for determine who qualify to semis...;)

Well I although I am missing Chinese stars, but I am more entertained with present lineup. More uncertainity which makes badminton even more lovely. :D
