Found out it was on at the Olympic Oval in Richmond so dropped by the last couple of days. Categories start at 35+ in 5 year increments up to 70! Some of the 35+ and 40+ singles matches were amazing. Japan, India, England, Thailand, Taiwan all sent huge teams. As hosts Canada also had a large representation. There were a couple of CHN players and 4 from MAS. Did not see any INA, HKG or SIN players. The sole representative from Australia knew a friend of mine and he kindly introduced me to this gentleman to whom we should all be very grateful. I told him I'd be posting this on BC. (sorry about the quality, it was taken with my iphone and my friend has shaky hands)
We have become too dependent on his product during tournaments. His name is Daniel and he is none other than the owner of Tournament Software.
That Daniel is a Great Guy. He would be a Great Magnet for Ladies K.C. Anthony and Amanda Knox! Thanks for the BADminton SOFTware, Master Dan.
That is way too cool! His product has become an absolute necessity of life to many of us. Just like air, water and cinnamon dolce frappuchinnos!
There were some pretty good matches today, proving that age is not (that much) a handicap when it comes to badminton. There was one CHN player who basically played MS in an XD match against a Canadian pair. The pair won. We also had the pleasure of a celebrity in the crowd.
Not true, madbad! she did have competitions; a lady from Ukraine almost beat her in the semi and she was taken by Renu, a Srilankan.
