I hope Saina Nehwal can go one step beyond her senior Aparna Popat , who is the runner up few years back. I wonder what is Aparna doing now, she seems not doing as expectedly well in recent years.
Nice to see korean women doubles breaking the chinese wall.

    Saina tired ? Yeah who wasn't !

    I was exhausted, says Saina
New Delhi, Nov. 11 (PTI): India's rising shuttler Saina Nehwal today attributed her defeat in the final of the World Junior badminton tournament to exhaustion which hampered her movement on the court.

Saina, who was just one win away from creating history in India before losing to top seed Chinese Wang Yihan 13-21, 9-21, said having played some tough matches before reaching the final took a heavy toll on her.

"I was tired. My legs were a bit stiff and I could not move so well on the court," Saina told PTI over phone Incheon.

World number 32 Saina admitted she was excited to play her first final in a world championship but could not give her best today.

"I could have played better. I played many negative points. It was not my 100 per cent.

"She caught me more on my backhand smashes and during full court rallies," she said.

Saina, however, denied that she was under any pressure.

"I did not take much pressure though I know there were many hopes attached to me but I could not help it," she said.

The 16-year-old rated her opponent as a better player than herself but said she could beat Wang.

"She is a better player than I am. She recently beat seniors world number one Xie Xing Seng in an invitational tournament. But she is beatable. I can beat her," said the player who had an otherwise superb week reaching the final.

The 14th seed Hyderabadi, who won the Philippines Open in May by beating then world number 4 Xu Huwain of Germany on the way, next plays the Seniors Asian Satellite in Mumbai from November 14 to 17 and then the Asian Games in Doha from December 2.

Yeah, I'm sure he's good and almost any country would want him. But I don't think he'll survive in the China National Team.

    I could be wrong

I have a korean friend in Korea who watched the match between Lydia and Bae said that Luck was not on Lydia side that day. The match was watched by many Korean because they like Lydia style and talent. According to him Lydia was upset by some line call and she has caught Bae many time but the shuttle was out.

He also mentioned that Bae was able to beat Cheng Wan because Cheng Wan had a stomach cramp. Liu Jae lost bcoz she could not recovered from her 60min game with M Fuji.

I was told that Saina Nehwal played badly in the team event but her form picked up in the individual. She lost to Thai in the WS in the team event and Jang Soo Young Korea in the team event but she won Jang in the individual.
Saina was lucky against Liu Jae as she could not recovered from the tiring match from M Fuiji. I was told Liu Jae could not even run on the court and just gave the game to Saina.

Guess the team event has taken the toll on some of the players. Lu of China, Han Ki Hoon of Korea, Tago of Japan, Arif of Malaysia are some of the players bundle out in the individual event. Lydia of Malaysia, Jang Soo Young of Korea, Pia of Indonesia, Xing Aiying of Singapore are some of the Team event players bundle out in the individual event.

Some of the double and mixed double players was affected 2.

bad luck for tommy, i expected him to win this time.
also, i agree, LYD should be banned from the juniors!
    ahahahahaha .... :D
i think that if you've played for the senior and especially if you've won senior tournaments before, then you should give other juniours a chance.
but kudos to him though, the world needs another park joo bong type player!
