I think a 6th place is still very decent :), so far the only European country who can win against Asian topplayers.

Together with Marin off course. I guess will be an exciting match against Intanton

Can any one post the scores of Axelson vs HYX once in a while? I have difficulty opening live score. Thanks!

Oops. Didn't realize the match is over. Sorry!

An afwul tournament for China so far:

No one left in MS and MD

In WS Suo Di one set behind

Only one couple left in XD.

Europeans are doing great, as are India and Japan.

Actually it's the first time an European makes semis since 2007. Understandably since the last two WJCs were held in Asia. Europeans tend to perform better outside Asia.

BS QF results were quite surprising..Huang, Liu, Riyanto and Pisit all lost.

    Naoko beat Carolina 17-21 21-14 21-13

too bad for Carolina, but she is only 17 this year so she can still play next year's WJC.

Indians are doing very well here, Davey and avataar should be very happy.

Pranoy and Sai Praneet in MS semis, and Praneet/Chopra now doing battle with Malaysians in MD.

Sigh....I woke up only to see all INA players/pairs losing their matches

First off, the BD match. A draw against the DEN pair is surely a tough one for Dandi/Jones and my fear was confirmed when the DEN pair won in straight-sets  They have been unconvincing in WJC and their performance was below my expectation and seeding

For Riyanto Subagja, fair enough, he was only seeded 9/16 and he reached his goal of qualifying for the YOG. But, he could not take the good opportunity of progressing to the SF, facing an opponent he had beaten before.

For the GD pair, expected really that they will lose.

yeah....quite dissapointment no Ina thru to SF...

Riyanto may feel the fatigue got the best at him, so he became anticlimax..

as for Aulia/Nurbeta, they did their best to recover deficit in 3rd set, but not quite good enough...

well, hope next yr will have better results..
