The first day is typically a warm-up for seeded nations.

INA will face South Africa this morning (Mexico time). INA is expected to field their best players today to warm them up, in preparation for the crunch QF tie tomorrow against (possibly) TPE.

Meanwhile, there might be a mix of players for the match against Canada tomorrow morning at 8:30am.

The playoff will be played in the afternoon at 3:30pm.

Seems to be easy wins for the highest seeded teams...

I wonder how many points the Mexican team can score against China ;)

Or the Dominican Republic against Malaysia :D

Hmm, knowing how China wants to be seen as the 'friendly-benign' superpower all over the world....... they will instruct their WJC team to take it easy agains Mexico... They will still win 5-0, but they will let the score be: something like 21-18, 21-16 in each match... In any case, Mexico and that other team [I forgot] in China's pool cannot beat China........ for the next 25 years. :p So, better to just win in the tie but also win diplomatically... :D

China won 5-0 over Mexico..., France is next... :p
Indonesia won 5-0 over South Africa..., Canada is next... :p
I hope they will play Millicent against Canada... :D Let the North Sumatran girl play... We will win 5-0 regardless of who plays..., might as well give Millicent a chance... :D

We beat CHN's BS and BD in the AJC Team Event

We could have won the tie too if our XD won....they lost in two tight-sets.

INA fielded the expected line-up, except for XD.

I guess Jones Ralfy Jansen/Nurbeta Kwanrico, Shesar Hiren Rhustavito and Millicent Wiranto will play in BS, GS when facing Canada.

    Hey, u are right!

The AJC XD champion "only won" 21-12, 21-10.

Li Gen/Chen Zhuofu also gave 15 and 16 pts respectively; while Liu He gave 15 and 14 pts.

A very diplomatic win I would say.

there is always too many "if"s...
... if HYX had beaten ZZ in the team event like his revenge over ZZ in the BS individual, then CHN would win 4-1
... or if ZZ could beat HYX in the individual BS, who knows...
... or if Sonia had won the tight GS 1st set, who knows...
and I never think the loss in XD was a tight game...
loss was loss, better look forward...:D

Exactly! INA could have wiped out China 3-0 in Kuala Lumpur... [THAT would have shocked the world... ....but our XD eventually lost 19-21, 19-21... :p

If I were Coach Sigit Budiarto [de-facto Team Manager] and Endang [coach from Tangkas], I will play:
    Vito vs. Canada BD
    Wahyu-Novalia vs. Canada XD
    Millicent vs. Canada GD

    Riyanto vs. Taiwan BD
    Jones-Nurbeta vs. Taiwan XD
    Novalia vs. Taiwan GD

Hehehe... for China, winning in such fashion means: 'giving face' to Mexico [and later on, France]... But maybe Mexicans and French people don't understand the concept of 'giving face'...:p maybe they really thought they were really somewhat competitive and playing close to China's level... :p

ok, i admit i dun follow jr players at all:D I think MAS and INA jr players mature quicker than the chinese jr but the chinese keep on improving more so after being chosen into the national squad. IMO of course
