Candra and Halim are playing for important ranking points here at the Japan Open... would be a shame if two talented players such as themselves dont make it - on the other hand, the coaches are going to have a tough decision to make anyway, between their current pairs. It's easy in retrospect to speculate whether or not they should have split Budiarto and Wijaya, but the same slump could have came for those two as well. Or the opposite. it's a gamble, and what's more, a no win situation, as Halim and Trikus never did really well together either. Do you think that Wijaya and Haryanto will be able to qualify?
Too bad Gunawan left, but that's out of PBSI's hands. plus, it's great to see him play here in the US. Wish he'd coach more on the east coast...
