Unfortunately for JYJ, LYB has made the decision. So everything to do with her is HISTORY. Whether she is the best or not, it's immaterial. It's all HISTORY.

Thanks some friends' hint about h2h records.

If Tina beats Wang Lin in the semi, then LYB will fix the game and order Wang SX give up so that Wang Xin can play Tina in the final with better h2h records.

In your post #52, you indicated it is IBF's fault that JYJ was left out for
WC. And my point is that had your wish granted, there is no proof
that JYJ will perform any better than WYH.
You can't really prove IBF has tarnished the world championship. Could you?
So why it is IBF's fault in current entry selection process?

that's true that's IBF's fault the WC competing without the best WS player JYJ, but I did NOT indicate that WYH should be replaced by JYJ. According to IBF ranking (although it's a joke), WYH was, and still is the 1st. How come the WC without the 1st ranked player. The best solution should give both of them chances.

I also said if I were the coach for Chinese Team I would send JYJ instead of WYH based on their forms not politics, but that doesn't means JYJ would replace WYH in the draw, they were ranked differently. Third, even JYJ had replaced WYH, it's groundless to assume JYJ having less chance against Tine than WYH based on current form.

Your conclusion 3 thousand miles away from my standing point :)

The prove has been there already!!!

No matter Wang Lin, Wang SX, Wang Xin, who wins the WC, they all lost to Jiang YJ back 2 back badly a month ago. Is this enough? The world champion is the person just lost badly and continuously to someone not in the tournament! Does this make the world champion shining?

Are you suggesting that the current WC entry selection process should wait until China super league season ends, so China can
decide who are the better candidates to attend WC?
Or to make an exemption rule that will allow China to make the last minute entry change?

If JYJ is the best performer, than China should send her to participate more tournaments to accumulate ranking points.
China super league performance records probably won't mean much to the rest of world...

yes, totally agree with you. Past means past, what for we still look at the past? Instead, we should focus on the future. The past is only the future with the lights turned on.

If there is someone to blame that JYJ was left out of WC, it should be CHN and not IBF. During the eligibility confirmation phases, from May to June,
CHN has plenty of opportunities to withdraw one of its 4 qualifiers and JYJ
would be #1 in the reserved list per her ranking points.

Instead CHN didn't do anything. And now you want to blame it is IBF's fault?

I suppose no one can really predict, even LYB himself, that WYH will perform
poorly and JYJ will be the best performer of super league in May/June time frame.

Something such as "JYJ is not a 2012 WS Olympics contender" in LYB's mind?

    off topic:
..on this WYH and JYJ and who should've been chosen for this WC issue, IMO, going by performance and form-wise, LYB should've chosen JYJ instead of WYH. At the same time, we can only speculate whether JYJ would've performed better than WYH against Eriko, if she was in WYH's place. But, yes, unfortunately, for our best guess reason of politics in play, it is what it is.
The 2012 OG is still 2 yrs away. I guess we'll see if LYB is serious in sending the best possible WS representatives for the 2012 OG, starting next May (start of OG qualification period).

Btw, it's BWF no longer IBF..

As for the upcoming WS Final, i wouldn't be surprised if it's an all CHN affair, between Wang Lin vs. Wang Xin.

I have to say I fancy WSX's game yesterday, but her squeals after every point is incredibly grating to say the least. I'd want her to lose with low scores just to keep her squeals at the minimum. :)

I'd mute instead, but the stories that Ian Wright/Jill Clark sometimes comes up with are worth listening to.

2010 BWF WC: Lin Wang holds 5% of our BCers' vote to win the WS title

    .
Well, Lin Wang [7] has just defeated Tine Baun [4] 21-11, 21-8 (in 31 minutes).

Lin Wang holds 5% of our BCers' vote to win the WS title.

Will Lin Wang be considered as unexpected to win the WS title?:confused::confused:

Wang Xin is good, but she has never won anything big.

Usually she has no chance to even enter the national team, not even the 2nd team. But since her personal relationship with Zhang Ning, so after Zhang Ning became the head coach of national women team, Wang Xin got to the 1st team directly. That never happened before.

Of course, that doesn't she's not good. She's good, but still far distant from the best. She's only the bench player in her original local team. That's also the reason her team PLA gave her up to Qiao Dao.

While Wang Lin won the latest national games champion.

yup, I know that. WX is a very lucky girl indeed. Although she lost today, but I know she has already tried her best. WL was very aggressive. I hope JYJ and WX will be given more chances to play in the future.
