    Hello all,

That coach of LCW in Aviva Finals is not Misbun? What is happening to Malaysian Coaching team, is there a change. I don't think he is an ex-national. Any insights on this?

Misbun is his coach. He was an ex-national player. During his heyday he did make it all the way to #2 in the world rankings.

Some Malaysians claim that Misbun created the cut half-smash, which you can see in players who come out from his training academy but not in others who train elswhere. Is there any truth in this? :D

Misbun was indeed a great player. I liked the way he played.

If Misbun created the half-smash? Well Taneepak, I believe you are among the more senior participant here and watched many (older) players, shouldn't you be the one to tell us! ;):D

He was also helping the other Malaysian singles. I remember him talking to Hafiz during the five-minute interval.

Tey Suey Bok.....apparently if he is in charge of the players for a particular tournament, they seem to perform better minus the recent China Open.....

And here is a rumour.....Misbun will no longer be head coach.....PM me if you need to know why.....

hey.. come on. no rumour! after olympic game, Badminton Association in Malaysia very disspointed. all this because malaysia team never serious in building the athlete performance using sport science technology. they have spent a lot of many to build great athlete, but malaysia athlete and coach still choose to train like their on style. you can see clearly in malaysia training session.. like kampung style.. shuttlecock everywhere, you can eat nasi lemak if u want in the court.
after olympic game, malaysia comeout with the issue of personal coach for each of their player instead of misbun as a coach for all player. can you imagine after all these, malaysia still can produce good athlete.. ;)
