Yes, but seven and a half months is a very long time.

I think it will be the first time ever that the Chinese WS players are competing in international tournaments for a ticket to the OLY.

    Do I understand this correctly?

    A. No 1 and No. 2 seeds will be separated.

    B. Seeding will be based on the ranking as of 21 July 2016, not 5 May 2016.

    C. LYB needs to decide which two players will go to Rio on 18 July 2016.

qualifying ends may 5th. bwf will inform the respective national federations of their allocated quota places by no later than may 12th. national federations will then have until may 31 to confirm that they will use the quota places.

lyb needs to decide by may 31 who will play.

LXR still has the best chance to go to Rio and win.

But WSX has Chen Jin on her side.

Zhang Ning is determined to make sure of her achievement of two successive gold medals will not be repeated by LXR. So Zhang Ning will favour WYH or Sun Yu, who recently rose up one spot to No. 10.

I think AE will be the epic finale of this debate isn't it? I'll vote WSX to accompany LXR

Dunno why people do such an unbelievable overrating of WYH.

Out of all elite WS players. She can only beat Ratchanok Intanon and The Chinese Duo(LXR and WSX which doesnt mean anything for Rio).

Seems to be clueless against Carolina Marin,Saina Nehwal,Sung Ji Hyun and recently was found chasing Okuhara throughout the race at the Dubai SSF only to lose in straight set.My God,such a horrendous record against ROW shuttlers and still people throw her name for Rio.

WYH is 8-4 against Saina, and 12-3 against Sung JH. If you take out 2015, which was a bad year for WYH, the numbers are so bad for Saina and Sung that you could have called WYH their personal nightmare.

As for Okuhara at the SS Final, she won in straight sets against everyone. Your opinion is so baseless I can only take it as trolling

Such an outstanding denial of reality is very amusing to me. Let's check out how her recent campaigns ended.

2015 All England :-> Lost to Saina Nehwal
2015 Malaysia Open :- Lost to Li Xuerui(Doesn't mean anything)
2015 Singapore Open :-> Lost to Tai Tzu Ying
Asian Championships :-> Lost to Li Xuerui (No problem)
2015 Australian Open :- Destroyed by Carolina Marin
2015 Indonesia Open :-> Lost to Yui Hashimoto
2015 BWF World Championship :-> Lost to Saina Nehwal(2nd time in a row)
2015 Japan Open :-> Lost to Tai Tzu Ying
2015 Korea Open :-> Lost to Sung Ji Hyun
2015 Denmark Open :-> Lost to P.V Sindhu
2015 French Open :-> Lost to Nozomi Okuhara
2015 China Open :-> Lost to Saina Nehwal(Oh My!!! hattrick)
2015 Your country's SS :-> Lost to Carolina Marin
2015 Dubai SSF :-> Lost to Sung Ji Hyun(2nd time in a row)
    :-> Lost to Nozomi Okuhara

    Conclusion:
Has lost 3 consecutive times to Saina Nehwal
Has lost 3 consecutive times to Carolina Marin
Has lost 3 out of last 4 meetings with Tai Tzu Ying
Has lost 2 out of last 3 encounters with Sung Ji Hyun
Has lost 2 consecutive times to Nozomi Okuhara.

But got to applaud her for how she conquers the world against her Chinese Compatriots

Has ended WSX's run in their last 3 meetings
    Perfect record against Sun Yu
and goes toe to toe with Li Xuerui.

No brother! That's not like it!
WYH, reach, agility and most of all her vision to see the match is incredible! Only bashing her for the 2015(a rough year by Ber standards) is baseless!
Ask anyone who have been following the game for even 5 years and his/her list will end up having WYH atleast in top3! WSX though I'll vote has many flaws! Her incapability to smash is one of them! Also if you watched her match against PVS in both (2014,2013) WCs she was edged out because of her 'horrendous' errors at crucial time! The big match attitude as they say is a prominent reason to keep WYH ahead in one's list! Also everybody seems to falter against NO including WSX(Asian TC for instance) so deduct that reason, WYH is SN's nightmare, any of the CHN players can del SJH from the tourney, also RI isn't a great hurdle for them, TTY is mysterious! Can't comment on CM, haven't seen her this year!
But, I personally will vote for WSX she has compromised a lot already, and she has improved on almost every aspect

Uber Cup 2016 will be held in Kunshan, Suzhou, Jiangsu this year. WSX is from Suzhou. It is not a coincidence Uber Cup is to be held at WSX's home.

can China win the Uber Cup this year?

i tend to agree with you. wyh's best days are definitely behind her. still a top player, just not top 3.

people need to realize how long she's been playing. she is past her peak, as is the other 2 top chinese ws players.

are there any ws players wearing more tape than the chinese players? nope. in a word: over training.
