Thanks Carlson. I probably need coaching a little more advanced level. Surprisingly, its quite a challenge to find an English speaking coach here.
    Thanks for you help.

Just saw that Carl had already contacted you :) sorry. If you don't think he can help you, then try going to Badminton Association of Thailand saturdays 2-4 pm and sunday 12-2pm - there are group lessons coached by two thai ladies. They are not native english speakers but they speak a bit (ask for Khun Krea). You can see if you like their coaching style. Plus there is at least one more thai coach there (i don't know if he speaks english, I only saw him few times) but he looked tough to me.
It's quite a chalange to find a coach+available court in Bangkok, I agree. Good luck

    Hi All,

I'm travelling to bangkok from 21-25 Feb 2015 and would like to ask if there's any place we can join for a game of badminton in the day time?

I read somewhere that former international Tesena Panvisavas spent time in the USA which means he should know some English. I think he lives in Bangkok. You would have to go through the grapevine to find him.

I will be in Bangkok for 2 weeks, I will be staying at Soi 15. I am from Singapore and am an active player in his late 30s playing twice a week. I would like to join a competitive club for the time I'm there so I don't get any time off! Please advise.

    Hello,
I can only suggest Saturn Badminton club. It's the only place I go to play when I am in BKK even as a tourist. Please see the postings on the club and how to get there. Many local and international visitors have played at that club.

It might be a bit far at Soi 15 but you can have good games.

    Cheers

You're welcome to attend my club as a guest. Check Badzone Bangkok on Facebook. It's not far from Phra Kanong bts (central) and we have around 20 good standard players every Sunday 7-9pm.

    Hi Carl

How far away are you from Riva Surya hotel? Coming over to Thailand in February for a month and staying there at the beginning and end of my stay and planning on packing the bats.

    Cheers

Hi I am a B grade player and need your assistance in finding a club that is close by to where I stay in Soi 3 - ARI BTS station.

Please let me know some places that are close by BTS and how I can get there and distance time?

Also I'm looking for a place that sell reasonable price Victor and Yonex racket/shoes.

    Hello,
I am French and I will stay in Bangkok for a year for work. I live very close to Sanam Pao station.
I am looking for two things near this area
    - a badminton club where I can train to improve my game drastically (2 to 3 lessons a week)
    - a gym with badminton courts to play with everyone (Thai and non Thai)

I can use the metro of course but not > 30 min from my place.

Even if I am a young beginner regarding Thai language, I do not care if the coach and people I meet do not speak English. I am very friendly and I will adapt.

Do you have some piece of advice?
Don't hesitate to add / contact me on Facebook (Fabien Cherbourg) or by e-mail at fabien.cherbourg@gmail.com

    Thanks for your time.
    Fabien

Hi all, my friend and I travel to Bangkok for holiday once every few months. So we thought to be able to play with the locals over there. Anyone have any ideas where can we do so?

Ngamwongwan road where I stay are close to 6 badminton places at least. If you come at the right time for me I will show you those places.

Talk to me and thousands of Thais who regularly play badminton via LINE app <https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.naver.line.android> .

That's for Android, and you can find the same app name in Apple Store.

When you are in the appw, write this link in any chat room: https://line.me/R/ti/g/MytmvtI1eY

Then we can talk and phone easily. This app is very popular in Japan and Thailand.
