where to play badminton in Prakanong, Bangkok Dear all, I just came to Thailand to work in JAn 2010 and I am keen to join any private group or club for badmointon games after work, around 8-11pm or so. I can be contacted at 0806023619 and I play competitive badminton at club level in Malaysia. Thank you:crying:
Intro I have newly arrived to Bangkok and will stay here at least five months more from now. I would like to play badminton with someone, hopefully more then one time. Its always hard to describe my own level, but I am surely better then average Joe. Mostly of my badminton skills I have got from my years as a professional tennis player in my youth. But that was tennis and this is badminton and I havent played tennis and badminton since I started on university a couple of years ago. But today I would like to play mostly to get some exercise and badminton is much more exhausting then tennis This is what I am looking for I am looking for occasions or players to play with. I live very close to BTS Nana at Sukhumvit and wouldn't like to travel too far from here. I work monday to thursday to 16:30. Fridays I usually quit much earlier. My weekends are often free. I would like to play any kind of badminton, as long as I sweat! Feel free to contact me or give me suggestions!
Hi Lermontov, If you'd like to play on Sat / Sun then please come and join with us. The club called All Star Badminton Club. The court is located near Ratchayothin Intersection and Kasetsart University. You can take the BTS from Nana to Morchit station and from there you need to take a taxi (around 15 min from Morchit station). The name of the court is Mitsena and it's on Senanikhom 1 Soi 2. Saturday : 19.00-24.00 H Sunday : 18.00-24.00 H The court fee is 60 Baht and 13 Baht for one shuttle. We normally have around 40-60 players here. My MSN is adhist@hotmail.com (most of the time I'm on MSN). Cheers, Nicky
Thank you kindly adhist for your answer. I will try to find something that is closer where I live. If not, i will pay me a visit to All Star Badminton Club next weekend. I am still looking for players and courts close to BTS Nana. If someone knows anything, please write or contact me.
Lermontov, I found this on the web: http://www.smilinginthailand.com/bangkok/sport/badminton-courts-clubs-bangkok.htm Piyarom, Soi Klang, Suthathip and VRP99 courts are located at Sukhumvit. Some clubs require memberships. Suggest you get someone who can speak Thai and contact the clubs.

Hi there, I am from Singapore and I am new herein Bangkok. I have been looking for badminton groups. I chanced upon this webside and I saw the location and would like to join the game. Could i? I would be taking BTS from Akamai. May I know which BTS or MRT should I alight after that and how to proceed from there? Thank you. Brenda Koh
I m also looking for one that is nearer to akkamai. The courts at House no1 is some distance away from my place.. but I will go there till i found a group which played at a nearer location like silom. Pls let me know too if u find out. thanks.
Brenda, you might like to join this club at Sukhumvit Soi 49/9 on a short term membership http://www.rqclub.com/index.html Map: http://www.bangkokdolphins.com/pdfs/dolphins racquet club map.pdf
There are groups playing at the Thai Badminton Association courts located at the junction of Sarasin Road (Thanon Sarasin) and Wireless Road (Thanon Withayu). If you are taking the BTS, alight at Phloen Chit BTS Station and take a cab or walk towards the American Embassy and look out for an overhead bridge in that area. http://www.plazaatheneebangkok.com/location
Hi, It seems that i cant bring my racket over due to many reasons like the airline rules n size issue. Can u recommend me a shop that i can purchase badminton rackets from? thanks!!
