i've tried BAM's homepage (www.bam.org.my) but that's just about the most useless site i've ever seen :p i'll be in malaysia in july this year so i'm hoping to go watch the malaysian open, except that i can't seem to find where it will be held.

It could be that it's still not decided yet. Hopefully, it is some place that is not too inaccessible for me. But BAM likes to hold the tournament around the country, which is not a bad thing to do.

I can't attend it this year!! :crying: I won't be able to go back Msia in July. It was really an eye opening experience to watch badminton tournaments live. I miss watching the players play live :crying:

You mean you haven't attended any in the past? Such as the Thomas Cup qualifying rounds, Asian Badminton Championships last year? I have! :D

    that is unhappily the case.

but then, i wouldn't have really bothered to watch qualifying rounds or championships -which i consider as minor tournaments. (now don't start bombing me ok, however much you might disagree wt that statment! :eek:i'm just being honest)

OK, I won't, but I'm sure you'll make amends by attending the MO if it should be held in Cheras. :p

Almost totally useless website. And I mean literally.

(Opps ... it's already stated in the first post.)

    ROFL! :D :D :D

I like the way there are only two things that work, 1 the tournament section, which gives dates of 1 tournament, but only location KL! 2. The link to worldbadminton website!

Makes me proud we have www.baofe.co.uk soon to be www.badmintonengland.co.uk

    Nowhere but KL

Referring to http://www.bam.org.my/bamevents.php, the venue of Malaysia Open 2005 is KL.

    JUNE 24 DENMARK/MALAYSIA FRIENDLY KEDAH

(bardo, perhaps your friend is referring to this friendly?)

    JULY 5-10 MALAYSIA OPEN K.L

I guess there's no need to ponder further on the venue eh guys? I'll be back to KL before the games for sure~! :D Perhaps Lee Chong Wei will give me his shirt then~!
