Short term goals: - Make full use of my length (1,91 m.) by jumping higher - More powerful smash - Upgrade consistency of backhand clear from 70 to 80%. - Beat Jerby If it'll ever happen!
oppps does that count as long term?just 1 season? otherwise work on footwork and improve on consistency on all areas......especially network.
Short term: - Make the varsity badminton team in grade 9 - Be really fun - Get some basics mastered Long term: - Make internationals - Get sponsored - Be a role model
Short Term: Get a girlfriend who plays badminton (just kidding ) Backhand Cross-Court smash (can already do backhand smash) Behind the back trickshot (just for show ) Long Term: Play internationally Get sponsored by Yonex
Yeap, that sounds reasonable . I would also add the following: just enjoy the game and smile whenever possible coz badminton is suppose to be fun
Task two, completed. I'll keep that aside for now. Task one will be my eternal goal. Time to update my short-term goal: 1)Keep working on footwork 2)Obtain a BNZ Player-number, so that I can play at my very first tournament. 3)"Get a girlfriend who plays badminton" lol 4)Get moved up a grade at club 5)Teach my friend how to 'hit hard' with the correct technique, ie: clear full court, high-serve, etc.
Short term: improve court movement (eliminate laziness in movement) develop a more accurate and powerful smash Longer term: Win my divisional tournament so I can move up a division so I can go back to beating some other players before they moved up ahead of me...
short term: to actually get on court and play (after a few months of inactivity) My backhand sucks long term: get on the short term first..then see what's the long term goal..it's a lot
My wrist is now recovering very well...nearly there...or at least it feels so. Now back to some regular wrist training and hope within one week I could go back to the court and enjoy a real game! Too much missing the court, the smash, the clear...everything! Well, seems the short goal will be achieved soon
Short term - a)Improve my footwork as well as placings. b)Train with better players to improve myself as well as coping up with their fast pace movement.
1. increase stamina 2. improve "ballet-style" footwork 3. improve stroke techniques and shot consistency I like the answer of "finding a badminton hottie girlfriend"...although I have someone in my mind right now...
For strokes: 1) powerful jump smash 2) decently powerful backhand smash 3) backhand crosscourt drop For everything else: Super fast footwork, and lots of stamina. And also really good reflexes.
these are my last time goals short term - take away all the bad habbit in badminton and learn good habbit long term - enter national team
