    Hi guys,

I am a beginner to badminton (played a few months, about once a week) looking to improve. I personally think I am much better than most beginners at my level as I used to play table tennis at the youth team level so my hand eye coordination, footwork and reaction hasn't deterioated that much haha.

I'm looking to get coached to get better at badminton, and I am wondering what kind of coaching is the best value for money? I'm probably looking at maybe around 100 per week at most, all inclusive. Should I go for group classes, one to ones, or a combination of both? What kind of certifications or experience levels should I look out for? In table tennis I would suggest to pay more and god with a good coach from the start to get a good foundation. Is that applicable here as well?

Also would welcome suggestions for coaches (am in Singapore)

Thanks all and look forward to you input.

    A distinct advantage.

Exactly the same as you would advise a person starting off in table tennis. I also suggest observing different coaches in a few gyms all the way up to advanced level.
