The forehand block by Lin Dan is really stylish.

Service fault called on LD, borderline, should have passed in doubles.

Right at the corner, couldn't have done it better than to walk over and put it there.

LD almost let it drop in but chooses to play it last-minute with a beautiful x-ct drive.

What a shame by Ueda to hit the backhand clear out. Lin Dan moved up a gear and Ueda was equal to it.

Lin Dan's trademark cross court smash from his forehand. A lethal weapon.

How annoying for the opponent when he thinks he's keeping pace with LD and suddenly it all evaporates in the last lap.

Chinese obviously are not ashamed to support their team over the tannoy. Poor taste.

    During the interval,

Japanese coaches to Ueda : “don’t lift to LD’s forehand”.
    Ueda : “yes, coach.”
Japanese coaches to Ueda : “don’t lift to the backhand either, quite lethal as well”.
    Ueda : “yes, coach.”
Japanese coaches to Ueda : “stay away by the net, he will eat you for breakfast”.
    Ueda : “yes, coach.”
Ueda : “so, what should I serve?”
Coach :“who said about you serving?.

Over the tannoy system, the guy is encouraging the crowd to shout "jia yo".
