Yes so happy to see Kim Gi Jung / Kim Sa Rang won against Akshay Dewalkar / Pranaav Chopra today 21-10, 21-19. Korea won the MD match.

Then comes the WS whereby Saina Nehwal won against Bae Yeon Ju.

As for the MS I thought Son Wan Ho will vs K. Srikanth but what a surprise he played with Kashyap. Well certainly Son Wan Ho had it easy too. He won easily 21-14, 21-13 second and third set. Kashyap won the first set 21-13 but he blew away his chances to win in the Second and third set.

Now it is Chang Ye Na / Jung Kyung Eun vs Jwalla Gupta / Ashwini Ponappa. So who will win??? I guess The Korean WD will win. By now I guess Korea is on the right track to win already. India could have won the MS match today if K. Srikanth is playing today. What a pity.

Let me subscribe to the "grapes are sour" theory and say, its ok since had we progressed we would have drawn CHN or JPN and would have been smashed to smithereens anyways...

Come on girls give us a miracle now and beat CHN/JPN in the QFs. Just do it.

Jwala's defensive clear was pretty amazing the last rally.

I wonder how frustrated Saina, Jwala and Ashwini (esp. Jwala) must feel with all the male dummies in our team who despite their high ranks keep on faltering in the team events thereby running water over all their hard work.

It's always a weakness in team events. Kwun's binomial distribution thread shows how precarious it can be. You need to have four sure win matches. But India's strong points are in only three disciplines. It's an uphill task for India with no margin for error for a win. Get them to improve the men's doubles and mixed. The future also needs other ladies doubles.

After INA challenged correctly on the flick serve, I think the umpire forgot to take away the points from Denmark after the serve was on the line. INA complained about it but was never fixed.... Hope it doesn't change the result.

Wow, well Denmark took the 2nd game. Mostly because of the sudden good play from the Danes. But the extra point on the scoreboard helped too

couldn't agree more..... Ashwini failed to replicate her success during JG's self-imposed sabbatical with other partners.

INA coaches got pissed off at the umpire. Rightfully so I might add. Clear mistake from umpire but he brushed it off. INa should have been up 16-14 after the correct challenge but it was 16-15. Psychological difference

Wow, Danes seemed to have worked out the kinks in their game. INA also seems to have dropped their level of play as well. Thygesen with newfound confidence at the net
