Anyone use Victor SH-A960 shoes? . IMHO, The color scheme is not really attractive. Really hope something bold and fierce like previous SH-9000 ace.
In Europe we are due the orange colour but they have still not arrived. I am told they will arrive in May so hopefully I will have a new pair in June. One of the difficulties in shoes is that the more colour used, it would seem the more limited in appeal. There are certain colours that appear to sell well at the moment and I wonder whether a little more experimenting with produce a better seller? It's difficult to know and probably too costly to chance. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
just received my shoes, yet to try... sharing some photos first. This color is particularly hard to get the correct hue in camera
I received my 960 shoe over the weekend. Sadly, the cut is different and it is too tight. This is the first Victor shoe where I have to change up a size which is incredible. One of my friends also ordered but he ordered the larger size and reports they are a great shoe. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
Funny thing about this shoe.. It's the first production shoe I've ever tried with stock insoles that has actually helped to minimise the effect of my plantar fasciitis to a degree strangely. Bloody impressive heel cushion. Must buy black and pink version. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
Narrower than standard. It's their V2.5 cutting. Recommended to get half a size larger/5mm longer tbh. I wear 265mm but bought 270mm. Fits great. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
Thanks mate! But unfortunately sold out and none in my size in the options. Thoughts on them? Durability? Sizing normal? Any feedback is useful for future reference until i find availability. Cheers!
I have Morton's toe so the V shape of the shoe really fits me well. I haven't been using them for too long so I can't comment too much on durability. I'm also a pretty small and light player so I tend to wear out the outsole and insole more than the upper. Victor sizing for me is usually a hit or miss depending on the model but I ordered a size 250cm which I used for the S80 and it was perfect. I do have to say that the cushion on top of the toes is plentiful which actually pressed down on my toes which can be painful after a while. So I switched out the stock insole with a thinner one. If you have more questions, feel free to DM me.
Hello! Just bought this about a week ago and these shoes are absolutely great! I got the lime green/black color combo and its a beauty. It fits like a glove and fits true to size (I'm a size 9). The rearfoot cushioning is impressive but the forefoot cushioning, in my opinion, needs a tad bit more. Flexibility is very good and the shoes hug my feet especially on intense lateral movements. The grip is amazing as I have played with it on a concrete court and I never had to wipe it in an hour or so of playing. I also love the insole as it helps grip my feet when doing lunges and it also has great cushioning. I believe its worth every penny from the design to the performance of the shoes. I just hope durability will not be an issue in the long run.
My current pair of shoe is Yonex Areus 2 and after wearing for 2 years, despite a bit wear & tear, the shoe is still in good condition. However, i felt that the cushioning of the shoe had gotten hard and my knees suffered. Hence, time to consider a new pair of shoe. My choice were narrowed down between Yonex 65Z or Victor A960. After trying out both shoe, i decided on the A960 - All around type. Both shoes are made with quality material while 65Z is slightly lighter than A960, A960 offers a softer cushioning feel and slightly better stability than 65Z. In my opinion, both shoes are better in stability compared to Areus 2, which is a plus point to me. A960 also has a better top line design which provide superior support around the ankle than 65Z & Areus 2. It has a thin layer of foam inside the shoe which gives a better hug feel around your feet. With so much more details added into the shoe, yet marginally heavier than 65Z, is totally acceptable to me. The A960 insole has wave line pattern at the ball of foot which provide additional friction or grip for your feet (even when i wear a pair of thick sock) when you want to push forward or backward. Packaging wise, Victor has a premium feel compared to Yonex; comes with a toe box and a shoe bag for A960, while Yonex provide nothing. It was all these little details of A960 that sums up in flavour against 65Z, which is like just another ordinary pair of badminton shoe. This is my first Victor shoe and if Victor continues to produce such quality shoe, Yonex will be on an uphill task to win me over. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
Im thinking about either buying this shoe or the Sh-P9300. Can anyone compare them? P9300 has an advantage in that I can buy them online from Tennistown, whereas I have no good idea about where to get the A960 in EU.
My new shoes just arrived!!! It feels great walking around at home, I will try the shoe for real in a few days. The size is the same I always use for my Victor shoes
