My prediction for Malaysia players is that most of them will be out by 2nd round

GVS/TWL already have their prime time, now focus on the youngsters Lee Zii Jia, Goh Jin Wei, Aaron/Soh and new pair CTJ/MWC...

CTJ/MWC just lost. To me i think think that CTJ is still lack of the mentality needed for joining 2 discipline

Too bad players like Zii Jia and Jun Hao are plagued with injuries at this crucial stage. Had that not happen, maybe their ranking
would be much better than it is now.
Tang Jie seems to be confused whether to play XD or MD style, I suppose he'd better choose one of the two. Also he need to toughen
his game, too sloppy and loose.

Both Lee ZJ & Leong JH are still young, 20 & 19 y.o. respectively plenty of time to develop further.

Maybe but if it continues, there will be another sandwich generation, stuck between junior and senior transition phase.

Well, BAM needs to do something to develop these young players. Plenty of young MAS players are in QF. Just hope that sandwich generation will end here. It has been gone for too long.

Tang Jie should learn from Zhang Nan as the latter very successful in both XD (Zhao Yunlei) and MD (Liu Cheng)...

You don't consider his partnership with Fu Haifeng when he was still with Zhou Yenlei in XD more successful than one with Liu Cheng?
And with Li Yinhui he could even get multiple bronze medals and reached a couple of finals too.
