I had my first session with it yesterday, i give bellow my impression (played warm up and an entire mens double match):

The racket is strung with Zymax 62 fire at 12x12,5kg.

First impression during warm up is that the racket is quite fast (IMO faster than JS12 and TK9900), clear is easy and feel is good.

During the match, the first impressions are confirmed, the racket cut into the air smoothly and mid court game is quite enjoyable. The feel is very good too, better than JS12 but for me TK9900 is even better.

the weakness of this racket stands in smash power, i don't know if it was my timing but i wasn't able to hit big boom with it, i had the same feeling with the HX800 i've tested last year. It doesn't matter how much i forced i couldn't get the big boom i could get usually.

I'll get another try on monday, if i still get the same feeling, then i will probably sell it to get another TK9900.

Conflict. I like it but I'm not gelling with it.

Yeah, it often takes a few sessions to adapt if the specs are different from your usual rackets.

    I've got a 4U coming c/o @razorei so there's a three-way test against the K9900 and MX80 on the horizon;).

just curious but on the tk9900 of yours is it the one with xzion material? (the one with the grommet at 12 o' clock [made in china, instead of made in taiwan one])

I have 2 gen2 (MIT, without any bumper or stripe on the racket) and i managed to trade my HX900 with Mark's gen1 with 2 orange bumper at 10 and 2 o'clock

I used a 3U HX800 thinking it would have been a corker in 4U. I just hope Victor's "HX800, but better" patter is on the money.

Honestly literally no body at my club likes the HX800. The limited edition control and power gets all the craze anyways. Hopefully this will be an upgrade to the HX800, the color looks so sexy.

    Oh... hello!
    DSC04040.JPG
The day after my match. D'oh!

Ah, well - stringing over the weekend and testing next week.

ETA - possible session tomorrow night. First impressions remind me of the 800P - touch of headweight, reasonably stiff. Not as "iso-y" head shape as the K9900, but not as "eggy" as the 800.

Strung and gripped it feels really nice to my hand - just enough weight in the head to let me know it's there, like the 4U MX80 or HX800P. The frame is a strange one, going from oval at the throat to trapezium in the middle and then boxy at the nose; can't say I've ever seen three profiles in one frame before.

Big thumbs up from the stringer's persepctive: finally, offsets on the single pass grommmets!

Didn't buy it - traded for it!

EU can get them from Eric of RKEP (on eBay) I think.

One session in. Not enough to go on for a review yet, but one thing became clear very rapidly: the feel (or lack thereof) issue has been well and truly sorted out.

Thanks, buying from Asia is a pain here, customs are insane on importing items, so it will be ~50% more expenssive compared to simply waiting, at least from here.

    Hows the power in this?
