Here comes the new VICTOR HX-800LTD P/C, two versions: Power and control. The difference betwwen the two in head weight is only 3mm and stiffness feel is a bit more stiff in the power version. Reminded me of the Yonex AT-900P and AT-900T. Hope this new version doen't have the hollow feel..source of photo from SOSA.

The yellow one looks and moves very nicely, having seen it in person.

the power one feels good looks good. i feel its not as quick as a brave sword or jetspeed but makes up for the power side of things.

Does it feel as solid as the JS10?

Not sure why. But I just picked up the P..hopefully it doesn't have the same adverse effect the original had on my shoulder.

Fiver says it'll be worse; if anything, the P is taller and harder than the original...

I'd have gone with the C!

Well I still use a SW35 on occasion. This can't be worse. I actually like swing of this better than the original which had so many problems for me before.

Well I think this will be a keeper for me. Very comfortable to use. I will quote Mark's words about the 800C as they reflect my own experience with the 800P so far. This thing is really smooth. They way it goes through the air is so so much better than the original HX800. I feel the decision to go with a gloss finish far complements it than a matte finish. Very stable and accurate as well. More so than it's elder sibling. Very little vibration too and not in the poor numb yonex way that's been rampant as of late.

Did you feel the extra head weight? (as it was advertised?)

I think the advertising is pretty spot on this round. Dry swings at the shop I could already feel the extra head weight, it ain't much more but it's definitely noticeable. But the smoothness in the swing was what really got me to drop the dough on it.

wondering if the 800C plays similar to the JS-10...a bit less stiff.

Highly doubt it. If anything I suspect it might actually come closer to the MX60.

I thought the 800C could go in the dictionary under "all-rounder" - absolutely no stand-out properties whatsoever. If anything, a very slightly stiffer and faster BS12. I'd still use it, though, just for the looks;).

I still haven't tried the P yet... I don't know anybody over here who's got one to lend me!

Shame. I think you might actually like the P even better.
