Is it anything like tk9900? This racquet is on my list to get, but deciding between a 3u and 4u will make a big difference, just like my tk9900. How's the tri-force head frame design? Fast swing?

Nothing like. It's a beast of its own. The swing is smoother. But I can't comment til I actually get one in 4U. I'm completely hands off of it in 3U.

Hmm...I see. Well, let see if the December ETA is any good, we will then be able to find out how good it is.

This racket must be designed primarily for singles, and if so, 4U would definitely be the way to go unless you've got a super strong arm.

I believe Tai Tzu Ying use the 3U version. So far I had not seen any international players use 4U rackets.

Her tk7000 giveaway contest was a 4u version.

Ever heard of promotion samples? I don't expect her to take those giveaway rackets from her own stock but instead her sponsor to offer them.

I would say that everything points towards a 3U (she definitely has the strength and technique to handle it), but so far I don't remember seeing a cone photo of one of her rackets that proves it.

Spot on. The racquets were specific giveaway versions. They had 'Tzu-ying Fan' (and other variations of it - there were three unique specimens) laser etched in place of the shaft code.

Yep. It had tai Tzu Ying etched on those. But what I saw on Facebook was victor promotion with 4u in the description. Not the cone. You're correct here.

Victor advertising on Facebook that TTY and LJH both using TK-F.

    But rackets are clearly different.
LJH is using TK-F. But TTY seems to be using a repainted version of her TK-7000... Small iso head, 72 holes, vs TK-F medium iso head on 76 holes setup...

Treat us as stupid or what? Hmm....[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Oh that's definitely a TK7000S. I own one. I'd recognise that head shape any time. The spacing between the frame and the top cross is rather unique.

As for the repaint.. I'm hardly surprised anymore given what YY does for LCW.

Can see from the photos posted by Victor.

TTY's racket head shape is different.
Stringing wise is definitely 72 holes. Not 76 holes.

    Maybe it's a special limited edition TK-F-TTY-7K

Is that a gap in the stringing?

I think Taeivon is absolutely right about his claim:

that gap is a stringing preference, missing 3rd cross. that is also how i get me rackets done. Moves sweet sport slightly upwards

Someone should add a counter how many times this topic has been asked in here.

And no, it doesn't move or change anything compared to a normal pattern. The only thing it does is to save the stringer maybe 1 minute by avoiding two shared grommets that are difficult to thread.

    EDIT:
And yeah, that's clearly a repainted TK7000S(N) that TTY is swinging in that picture. Head shape of the TKF is significantly different with the "ears" at the top corners.
First time that we see a repaint of a Victor racket afaik. They really seem to get desperate to push their latest rackets.

If that were the case, then it's really kind of a sad affair racket companies are engaging in a form of false advertising:oops:
