Victor DENMARK Open 2021 : R/32 to Final (19-24 October)

Me too. She means business. No unnecessary drama, no delaying tactics (I hate that about PVS), always trying to give her best and play entertaining badminton. Ever so humble in victory and gracious in defeat, she's amazing.
Very nonchalant if she wins...

Nah Izzudin stomped at a shuttle that was clearly going out in the rally before Kim showboated… He’s had a bad attitude the whole match and I think Kim was just responding.
It's not just this match, Kim's on court antics are really pathetic to watch and guess what, most of the times he loses after doing all that unnecessary nonsense. A little bit of all that is still okay, every player does it but he always go overboard with it.

And he's 29. But hey, maturity & composure aren't relative to age, I suppose.

Yeah I agree with you, some of the Danes are a little too showboaty for my liking, (Astrup/Rasmussen, Vittinghus and Antonsen) but I think Kim was okay to be frustrated and play mind games back with Izzudin this time. I’m at the Denmark Open and I’m not sure what exactly they showed on the feed, but Izzudin did some questionable things throughout the whole match. At least in the end he was a good sport and gave the Danes a smile and hug, so I respect him for that.

Erm, what did Izzudin do?
Just curious.

YEs, love that it all ended on a good note

Yeah, sometimes it happens that we don't get to see both the sides on TV and tend to assume. But I was more referring to his usual on court demeanor, not specifically in this match against the Malaysians. He was full of such unnecessary drama during the Thomas cup as well and was eventually losing the matches. I mean how much more would he achieve if he focuses more on his performance and less on all that. As for Izzudin, I really did not see him instigating anything. Maybe they didn't showed it on TV or maybe I missed.

Izzudin serves really quickly and kept serving even when the Danes had their hands up. Denmark got warned by the umpire because of that, then in the last set, Denmark was serving to Izzudin and he put his hand down and he got aced. Izzudin started complaining to the umpire that it was a let, but they umpire stood his ground. Gil even said his hand went down when she saw the replay, so he didn’t have any reason to complain.
