To be fair, some skill errors keeping Ginting in this from Chou.

After yesterday Ginting match, its really Chou to lose. and ginting looks tired.

I think ginting should play in lower level tournaments to get his rank up. That way he will be seeded and face easier opponents. As it stands.. He will face seeded opponents early on, and even if he wins he is out of stamina in the later stages

Ginting seems to still have problems in keeping his focus most of the time. Even if he won this match, it would be hard to play against Momota with this kind of performance.

Briefly, partly due to the reason you stated, a change of coaching staff, esp Head Coach Li Yongbo whom despite his 'mistakes' in the final years of his long illustrious career, 20 over years, is still the best Head Coach for China. But, still, he being too long at the helm has its problems and disadvantages unless he's able to sort of reinvent himself to take on new challenges, which , to be fair, he was actually trying to do but the authority higher up prefer to make way for new blood partly to take responsibility for the LOG'12 WD scandal; besides, at age 62 then, he was near the official retirement age; incidentally, he wasn't the only Head Coach in Chinese Sports to be replaced four others in various sports were asked to step down, in a renewal process.

The other main reason for the decline of CHN badminton post-LOG'12 can be attributed to the sudden retirement, including one due to severe injury layoff, of several of their elite players and pairs, That greatly affected the smooth transition and successorship of and between the 'old' and the 'new' echelons, particularly hitting CHN WS the hardest.

The third reason, to me,is partly the result of complacency of the entire CHN Team, CBA in general, after their historic clean sweep at the LOG'12, as many of them, including Head Coach LYB, actually resed on their laurels and were slow to make needed changes in their policies and training methodology when the rest of the world showed unmistakable signs of catching up with China.

Apparently, Ginting is still the one at the moment to give Momota a really good fight

No, I thought he fluked out a fine win in the end vs a Lin Dan on one leg and no heart.
