They both have different specs. MX-80 is much more STIFFER than the BS-11. So it all boils down to your playing style.

Agreed...i've both....both give me different styles of play....BS11 is quick and zippy and good for defense but lack power and control as compared to MX80.....but when u are tired, BS11 can help ur play in general as it's not so demanding

I own BS09/10/11, MX80,Ti 10 (1,2,3 gen), Li-NING-50II. BS11 is best from every aspect. MX80 is the worst (see how many pros are using it, few, Ling Youlang--Taiwan team played MX80 only and played really so badly). I don't know why Victor made such two different rackets.

Proves that it's all personal opinion at the end of the day, because I used the BS11 for a whole season and now that I have the MX80 I won't be going back. The MX80 just kills it on every level. I haven't tried the non-TW version but I doubt any other code would change my mind.

Does it automatically makes us a better player if any of the pros are using that racket?
Although it has been heavily discussed, I do believe that you should look for a racket that suits you and your play style instead of looking for a racket that suits the pros.. :)

    Ah_Peng & Arifza: BS09 & BS11

I have both the BS09 and BS11 both 3U; both strung at 26lb with BG65Ti
both have Bravesword written on the racket head so I guess its 1st gen?

Technically BS11 should be made of a slightly stiffer material, but because it's shaft is slimmer than that of BS09 it feels noticeably more flexible to me.

BS11 is lighter than BS09, and the BS11 feel relatively head light compared to the BS09 - an obvious consequence to this is that it (BS11) is slightly more maneuverable, but not to the extent that it made a significant difference to my play. I prefer the BS09 as it gives me more 'meat' behind my shots; to clarify I find that it gives me more power.

I am not sure if this is a characteristic related to the rackets; but both of them has great feel when it hits the shuttlecock. It doesnt vibrate too much but enough to give you a good responsive feel when you hit it well.

i am confused with these comment:confused:. On victor's website it states the bs09 is a balanced racket with medium stiffness and bs 11 is slightly head heavy and mid-stiff racket.

    mzheng168,

it could be because of the 5g spread in weight class rating.

ie his bs11 could be a 86g and his bs9 could be a 90g sample.

If they had weight exactly the same, most likely the swingweight of the bs11 will feel slightly heavier.

    yea this seems to be a reoccurring issue with victor racket reviews;
there seem to be some noticeable racket to racket variability within the same models.

The fact that LeeYD uses the BS09 was wat initially got me interested in the model
but I read on BC (from Kwun I think?) LeeYD's BS09 is custom made for him?
All these inconsistencies can make it quite confusing when it comes to choosing a racket based solely on racket reviews .. especially for those who won't have direct access to the actual racket until they actually purchase it.

Wouldn't it be great if there were a few physically measurable and quantify-able set of characters other than the balance point and weight that might give a better feel of what a racket might feel like wen swung? I think I read an interesting topic about the 'kick point' of a racket .. going a bit off topic here.

No BS09 is NOT balance racket.
    BS09 is headheavy-medium stiff racket.
    BS11 is headheavy-more stiff than BS09.

The problem is that Victor makes different specs for different countries, which is incredibly stupid IMHO. And even stupider is that they change the specs from season-to-season (ie: The BS11 this year is less stiff than the previous version, at least in TW coded anyway).

The BS09 is the most confusing I think, which is why it's the only top end Victor I haven't owned. Some report that it's a less stiff version of the 11, and some say it's very similar to the 12. I've swung one around the shop and it felt more like a 12 to me, but it's hard to get excited about a certain model racket when you don't actually know how it will play.

well, the best thing you can do is just swing it at the shop and compare to which ones they have there. the ones i have swung around once you decide which one you wanna buy :p

    from my experience,
    flex: BS09 > BS12 > BS11 > BS10 stiff
    head heavy: BS09 > BS12 > BS11 > BS10 balanced.
didnt measure the shaft girth though.

i'd say BS09 has similar head heaviness as MX70

Um, the BS11 is head heavier than the BS10 and especially the BS12, which is the most headlight BraveSword.
