I think so. I just tested positive for GAS-23 today (ARS-90kii variant). Looks like we have an epidemic on our hands
My 4ug5 90kii strung with Aerobite at 27lbs with stock grip and stock plastic wrap on handle weighs 90 grams. Is that typical for a 4u racket in this condition or is it on the heavier end of 4u?
Judging the ever changing variants in new top tier rackets, you probably have to also switch budget rackets every 2 weeks to keep up the immunity. XD I would say yes you got a pretty heavy version. If we think about the goal of a 4u between 83g - 85g on average. Aerobite string potential added 5g - 7g in weight :O to reach 90g.
Managed to get a 3U 90K ii and had one session. Didn't swap back to my normal main racket, so that's a good sign. After giving up on the 90K because it was a little too stiff, I couldn't refuse the chance to try this out. Also got a 4U TKFC and for me this is much easier to play with. Your 90kii is on the heavier end of 4u but that's still kinda normal. 4u rackets from Victor these days weigh about 86 g anyway (if we include the original plastic wrap), and with strings weighing roughly 4 g, having a total of 90 g is completely expected.
Sorry not totally clear there. But with the 90K ii, I am already getting a more consistent smash out of it after one session. The TKFC just doesn't seem to work for me smashing wise. I think I've tried it at the start for 3 or 4 session and by the halfway mark I've swapped it out for another racket. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
Who could compare me the Astrox 88dp 4u and the Auraspeed 90k II 3u power level, manoeuvrability and are they tiring ?
Hesitate to define any racket like this, because it's very much down to individuals. This has decent head weight for a good smash and still has good speed. Second session done. Smash getting better, can start to feel the shaft flexing. Going from a mid flex Jnice black panther, I'm getting more control with the 90K ii for the touch shots. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
From what I have been reading on the CN badminton forums and YouTube reviews, the Made in Taiwan version seems to be significantly head heavier (310mm+) than the Made in China version (~300mm).
I have been using this AS90 version 2 racket for a few months now, and I can say this gives me the confidence to use it more mostly on mens doubles. It feels head heavy but not the head heavy that I felt in my previous HH rackets. I am still looking for 3U version in Europe, but sadly it is still not available. If the string breaks during the match, i use the original version as a back up. I use exbolt 63 string tension 25 lbs black color. Tried tension 26 a few times but it breaks easily. I don't know if its the mis hits a few times or the string itself.
It's kind of annoying how Victor Europe picks and chooses its racket weights. After trying out a 90K 4U and then BP 4U, I was convinced 4U was my new desired weight. I'm glad I was forced into picking up the 3U due to availability. Really enjoying this racket more and more and not really using any of my other rackets. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
