What do you feel about the shaft flexibility. Is it Stiff, medium or flexible?

just had the js12 ii, the frame quality sucks. Mine cracked near the t joint. Was happy with the feel of the racket, played about 4 games with it.

Damn, that is horrible! IMO a crystal clear warranty case.

oh right, I've been too much distracted by the crack to even look at the grommet... that looks weird too, although I don't think that this is the culprit for the crack. But at least it could make a nice excuse for Victor to decline the warranty claim.

Probably 99% chance of that happening. Because they don't take racket claims if the strings are cut.

I'm not sure how Victor is handling these issues. At least Yonex would be jumping at that grommet like a hungry dog at a steak, that's for sure.

I know for Asia at least because I've spoken to the former and current distributors before. They will reject warranty claims if you cut the strings before and send it over. Basically money wasted on your end still. Especially with shipping cos you pay for it too.

i witnessed the stringer stringing my racket, the U grommet was positioned nicely prior to pulling the string(im not sure whats the word for it), after pulling/tying that particular vertical string, the U grommet deformed and walla. could the U grommet have defect? i think its unlikely, but not 0%

i know victor is going to reject my claim. but damn.....

    its aerobite at 27lbs btw.

At least 27lbs is decent. The JS12F was sinking at 24

Sounds really weird. Can you take a detailed picture of the grommet looking at it from the grip side orientation? Maybe the grommet caved in at the bottom of the U-shape and causing the sleeve to be pulled out of the hole as a result.

And that again would then be another reason to make a valid warranty claim. In any way, I would recommend to try claiming warranty - there's nothing left to lose for you in case they decline it.

You normally get this on the grommets that are pulled at a angle, but it probably came out slightly during the pull without the stringer noticing. Very rare for it to happen to the U grommets.

Or what others are saying... (too slow)

I cannot believe someone continued stringing with the grommet displaced like this

i think it has to be a defect or a bad string job, even the most fragile rackets don't do that at the T-joint

Quite easily done. Used to happen to me every now and then. It usually resulted in broken strings. Anyway I now have a grommet flare tool, so I no longer need to keep checking after every pull.

I can confirm that being a problem with single pass grommets sometimes, but I have never had any issues like that with U-grommets. They normally are forced into the correct position during the pulling process.

Yeah I should've mentioned it's single grommets that are pulled at an angle that are the most likely victims.

Ditto, never seen an U grommet budge, so surprised this has happened.
