If there were some tournaments around Canada (or even the US) that had a good venue and nice viewing courts, I'd seriously consider traveling to them to watch. Other people probably would too, but it seems that at least here in Canada all of the open tournaments (that are international) are just held in a normal club with not so great viewing areas and are run just like one of my junior tournaments. There isn't too much hype or excitement to them. I wonder if it would be possible to hold these kind of tournaments in hockey rinks or any bigger indoor facility so it would have a bigger more epic feel to them.

Just coincidence, this year bdm US Open has same week with Tennis Grand Slam US Open/07 schedule (27/08 - 09/09/07). Total prize-money has stunning difference -- bdm offers US$50,000 meanwhile tennis provides US$19,653,000! Gosh, so sad for badminton 'small prize'...

There's LIVE-SCORE facility from the organizer despite the level of tourney is only GP and lack of top players. GP Gold tourney should do like this!

Yeah, that's got to be the upset of the year. The # 10 ranked team in the world losing to the # 237 ranked team in the world?!

Are my eyes deceiving me? Yesterday the Japanese MDs loses to the # 237 ranked team and just now MS # 1 seed, # 13 ranked speed demon Shoji Sato loses to unseeded, #53 ranked Scott Evans from Ireland!

    Congrats to Scott Evans!

Dang, what's going on at the U.S. Open? :p

I'm now predicting last year's winner, Yousuke Nakanishi or Tien Minh Nguyen to win it all in the MS.

The Japanese must be feeling tired after the WC. I'm sure they will bounce back in Japan Open.

    must be jetlag.

either that, or the excessive amount of fat in the US diet is clogging up their blood streams.
