Nope. Last time I came, the furthest north I got was Oxford!! The furthest north I've been since then was Hokkaido in Japan - it's no comparison to Leeds *cough*. It would be nice to play a bit of badminton in the UK again but it's not going to happen soon.
OK, the last time you told me you were coming! When it does happen, I will be here waiting for you! (In Leeds)
Last time I checked Hokkaido is about 630 miles further south than Leeds (I checked about a minute ago!)
Just had a session with the local lads here courtesy of 1984AllEngland... nice group. And had a Nice Dinner after... im too full now...
Oh yes... thanks for reminding me about the DUCK. I will eat on your behalf.. you can bank in the meal payment to my account. heheh
Unfortunately we didnt manage to play against each other.. he jumps like a frog all over the court... i played like an old hag.
Having never seen a frog jump on court nor seen an old hag on court, I must assume that both of those are of a very high standard indeed.
Hope you enjoyed your games , Anthony. Highlight must be the long walk to the Fortune Cookie chinese restaurant. But it was worth it, i think. If you're still in london area next sat, let me know. Guys, the 'long walk' was because we originally planned to go to a malaysian restaurant but not knowing it was hari raya, the restaurant was shut. Hence the detour to bayswater. The last i heard, Four Seasons has changed chef. So i don't know whether the duck is still as good. But i still see people queueing. The roast duck from Fortune Cookie is pretty good, i reckon.
Some fun at Little Venice.. facility is superb...Sugoii! Wanted to take pictures of the Toilets.. but too many naked guys and girls around after games. The guys played well.. see if you can spot 1984AllEngland aka James. The girls played better!
Nice photos, Ants. Saw many lines on the floor. What other sports they play there other than badminton and basketball? AllEngland1984 was in the 4th and last photo. Not too sure about the 1st photo. Did I get it right?
Nice facilities there and well kept in clean condition.. Wish there are such a sports centre in Malaysia..
Yeah, it looked very high class. For this type of facilities, the fees must be rather high to sustain the operation. It may be beyond the ordinary baddy enthusiast in Malaysia.
