Indeed in the end it is up to the player concerned whether he/she has the desire and commitment to work hard and smart to achieve his/her goals. It is quite pointless if a player's attitude and aptitude are at odds. In the end failure will only be the outcome and much effort and resources will be wasted.
Doesnt matter if she goes. She will regret to let go her career in a such beautiful and nice country....
ahem.. can we have some tall, slim and leggy imports for a change? i could still remember the 'model' xiao lu xi... can we buy wang yi han?
How about Fu Mingtian? She is another WS player in singapore, I think she will do better in future ,her sister is Diving Queen Fu Mingxia, won four olympic gold medals.
Don't say that, otherwise sba may go for his head! And you will not have a chance to be selected by him!
Press Release of SBA employment of Mr Zheng Qingjin as its Technical Director http://www.singaporebadminton.org.sg/announce/detail/Employment of TD-071008.pdf Nothing was mentioned about Zheng Qingjin's conviction.
That's interesting. Then that means Fu Ming tian's niece is applying to schools for entry for next school year.
"Mr Zheng's joining of the leadership team of SBA will help us achieve our objectives. I am confident that Mr Zheng's experience, network, commitment and his good health will help us build a strong team". You mean the above? Frankly, to me, Mr Zheng has lost his creditability because of his previous conviction. How can one build a strong team when outsiders like foreign officials and coaches, foreign players, etc, have lost their respect for him? I wonder how his present batch of players, his colleagues, his fellow coaches, parents and badminton fans take to his leadership. Contrary to what the SBA Management believes, I think they have made a wrong decision and it will take a long time for the morale of the team to heal and soar again. Maybe this is the start of a downward spiral for Singapore badminton unless something could be done quickly. :crying::crying:
Er, I was referring to this line: "So far, SBA has received favourable responses and expressions of support from the badminton fraternity in Singapore." I can't help wondering who the SBA means by 'the badminton fraternity'. Does this mean that we are happy to see corruption being endorsed?
