    Hi all,

Was just playing a game today and my tricep to rear delts area started to hurt after smashing once and subsequently will have a slight pain whenever I try to perform a smash.

Lift and net will not cause any pain, while changing my shirt I realised a patch of "blue black" at my tricep area. 2 hours have passed and I have no issues performing my daily tasks. (take tissue with right hand, open door with right hand...)

Would like to know if this is any major issue? (muscle torn...)

    Thank you

Looks like a muscle tear with bleeding to me. There is no pain when you can carry out daily tasks (because the ones you mention use different muscles) but certainly should take a break from badminton.

Ice it lots for the first 3 days. And rest it for at least a week.

Noted, thank you Cheung and Visor.

So far after 2 days not much pain, just a little bit "tight"/stiff when i raise my hand all the way up above my head.

Recommend you have a doctor check it at least. That definitely indicates internal bleeding and you want to make sure it is monitored and healing correctly.
