    Playing yesterday and my opponent played a drop shot and as i scrambled to return i touched the bottom 'T' part of the net post with my foot. I suspect this is a foul but can anyone confirm please?

    It shall be a ‘fault’:

    13.4 if, in play, a player:

    13.4.1 touches the net or its supports with racket, person or dress;

    If you think about it, it is quite obvious.

    If you were allowed to touch the net/post, then theortically you could be altering the "boundaries" of the court. Some may argue that it doesn't always change the outcome, but to prevent any ambiguity or arguement over what extent that needs to be to affect the game, the rule is that if any part of you or your equipment/clothing touches the net/post then it is your fault.
