From what I understand, Maxis, Celcom and P1 (or most broadband prviders) throttle their connection except Streamyx. Not too sure about Digi. But streamyx's (which I am using) services sucks. I was having very frequent disconnections and it was very bad until the technician down grade my package from 2mb to 516k saying the cable wires does not support the speed that I am subscribing to, but I am still paying the 2mb package. For testing speed connections, is this site http://www.speedtest.net/ relevant
I'm on P1, I don't face any throttling issue, except there's a cap of 40GB per month. I'm getting download speeds at 2.25mbps today (just ran speedtest). I left Streamyx long ago because I couldn't stand their lackluster attitude in helping to improve connection.
Hey Ngu, after you click inside the livestream, and typed "octopusaccess", a white background pop-up window will appear, with all the details, including your connection speed and the stream (whether TSA_Paris1 or TSA_Paris2, i.e. 800k and 400k respectively). But if you're getting speeds of 400kbps, then it'll definitely cause problems to watch the live stream. We could reduce the bitrate for future events, i.e. 300k, but we tried the last time and the quality was poor. 400k seems to be the most-balanced in terms of acceptable quality and bitrate.
The Live Streaming has begun on Total Sports TV (www.totalsports.tv). 10 matches are lined up today from TV Court 1, quarterfinals including the mouthwatering clash between Lee Chong Wei and Taufik Hidayat!
..madbad, no luck..looks like www.totalsports.tv has officially shut down that website. Further, I can't even find other streaming site, even showing CCTV5...
http://www.gigstreams.com/cctv5_tv_online.htm has CCTV5, but no badminton until much later. showing volleyball right now.
..bro, just to let you know, i visited your website earlier (several hrs back) and i got a warning msg telling "The website is unsafe"...what's up with that??..
Same here, with some Java use notifications related or not .... But if you read the warning it only mentiones that some sent in a report. Could just as well have been out of spite or something. How to get the full report?
Which browser were you using? I loaded it up using Chrome & IE this morning and last night and didn't get that message. Let me know and I'll check. Thanks.
There were security changes made earlier to the stream that could likely have been the cause. Let me know if the error message still persist.
IE (with Smartcreen filtering turned on I guess). Just did the Smartscreen check again and all clear now
