So tomorrow it is CHN vs JPN and DEN vs INA, INA should use Ginting, Minions, Christie, Faj/Ri and Vito
Wow the atmosphere. Gonna be great challenge for Indonesia to beat Denmark. I hope the players can just enjoy it. Its scary, prolly like Lions Den but it isnt gonna be scarier than the 1950s-1980s when the (home) crowd covers the touchline just to watch Badminton.
MD1 is crucial for INA tomorrow MS1 is for Axelsen, and MS2 is kinda uncertain but Antonsen should win this on paper MD2 is INA only sure point, but then MD1 has to secure the win Wonder what kind of MD combination that they will put though..... This is crucial Even though MS3 will still go to DEN of course
I'm fearing for Jpn against Kor in Uber... Kor have strong WD. Minions are kinda getting back into their form but using them in MD1 will still be a big risk. I'm on Axelson winning MS1, and Antonsen getting MS2 (if he didn't really hurt himself from the slips and falls today). INA will win at least 1 MD. (They have to!) I don't know where DEN 3rd point will come from. I think its GG for Jpn, unless somehow Momota could win.
Coach Park should let Momota rest tomorrow. I think that Momota's chance to win Shi Yuqi was low, under 30%, so that give him a break. Just let Tsuneyama and Nishimoto play as MS1 and MS2, then choose Naraoka or Koki Watanabe for MS3. If Japan goes to the final, we will have Momota back. If not, it's ok, try next year.
That will be a lot of pressure put on their MD then ... I don't think anyone in Jpn team can beat SYQ, unless, again, he is dying from exhaustion like in Sudirman Cup. I wonder how he can still produce accurate shots in that kinda conditions. I don't see a 3rd point from Jpn in their MS even if the MD both wins ... I hope they could win tho ... by some miracle
Hard to tell how the JPN-KOR matches will turn out tbh. I hope Fukushima/Matsumoto can beat Lee/Shin.
Thai spilt the WD pairing ... Oh no!!!! Intanon finally playing!! Puttita SUPAJIRAKUL is like Mayu Matsumoto to me... just tall ...
Also, THA pretty much has to rely on the same outcome as their 2018 Uber Cup campaign: winning all the singles. I doubt they can win any of the WD despite the new pairings. And to be fair, Intanon was really fit and in really fine form in Tokyo despite losing to TTY. I just wonder how much of it she was able to maintain through grief.
Peculiar as to why Ratchanok was selected when they have such a capable team even without her. Surely this wasn't a new, sudden injury but something that they knew about.
Oh,I see, THA's strategy is to sacrifice WS1 so that they can field their stronger lineup for WS2 and WS3 that is , Pornpawee Chochuwong and Busanan Ongbamrungphan respectively. Clever. Let's see if it works out for Team THA.
Looks tactical. Maybe they feel thay have a better chance with chochuwong in ws match 2 and busanan as ws match 3. So let ratchanko play a few points and retire to execute the plan, a match they would have lost anyway had chochuwong played Chen.
Ok, this is quite a possible explanation. Maybe they figured the chance to beat Chen Yufei would be minimal whoever played her, and now they could have an upper hand in WS2 and WS3. If it goes as far as to WS3... China could also just as well knock them out 3-0...
I really wonder if they tried their best at WS1, it doesn't matter they win or lose ... why waste a chance? plus I wish they tired out CYF for the Jpn team (I want Jpn top win)! LOL #biased
I think ratchanok does stand a chance against CYF, they are on the same level-ish,if its true, this is a tactic, its kinda weird. Plus if she’s already playing anyway, why not go all out? No reason to concede even they were expecting to lose right?
