AA not too confident of his smashes, good for KM

AA is at a disadvantage if he tries to out-rally KM, I feel he must dare to attack but time it well.

    Wow! Amazing! Incredible!

An Indian world champion in a popular physical sport like badminton!!
    Gold!
    Indian National Anthem!
    21-7 21-7 !
I am really getting emotional right now.
Who would have thought that this day will come!

A gold that comes after a number of defeats is really sweet .
And what a birthday present for her mother!

She has already won gold at the highest non-BWF major (WT Finals) last year.
Now she wins a gold at BWF world championship.
She has 5 world championship medals.
She already has a medal at the olympics.

You are the truly great Sindhu!
I have always said greatness is subjective. But...
She is a contender for the greatest Indian sportsperson ever and also the greatest WS badminton player ever.
And even more so if she wins the gold in Tokyo (and possibly an All England in future).

And I think the S.Korean coaches have really helped.
She even thanked miss Kim publically along with Gopichand and the Indian crowd.

The thing is KM is able to keep AA guessing , that's what Chen Long failed to do

Hoping Kantaphon and J.C will keep improving and Shi Yu Qi will come back soon enough to challenge MMT. AA is hopeless in his attack, his rallies is not better than MMT also.

KM is proving you don't need to play a very physical game to win, playing smart is more important

Sindhu won gold medal, but why not Fuku/Hiro, another Lee Chong Wei in WD, so sad.

KM is, first, not giving AA too many attacking opportunities, and, second, anticipating his smashes when lifting and clearing. Well done.

Not good for Antonsen. When he beat Momota back in Indonesia, Antonsen was patient. He lost his patience this game. Let's see if Antonsen can turn things around in the 2nd set.
