That's why Japan didn't include her name in Uber Cup squad.

Aargh!! But let's hope Jorji Tunjung can make this as her confidence boost and she improves later in the future.

Well done by CYF to catch up and win G2 22-20.

GMT will be much a threat in a year or so. Great potential.

I did but mr.google is confusin as F but goin at the wiki page i assume LX is the most medal winner of all time and the most medals in WS is 4.

In Recent years its PVS she has won 3 Medals already 2 Bronze and 1 silver.
So I assume if she wins another medal she would be the 2nd most WC Medal earner.

What a comeback by Chen Yufei to deny rubber games, 10-17. Gregoria Mariska blows away her chance, lost concentration then her opponent seizes the momentum. Overall, it's a good match, we'll see their rivalry in future years.

Momota has no problem so far. But the match against Antonsen should be very exciting.

Well WC used to be a biannual thing until some years ago too anyway. Not that easy to get medals before they changed it to an annual event.

GMT is still 18(?) years old and fresh out from Junior competitions. She needs time to adjust to the Senior tourneys. CYF is a more experienced player, not easy to beat her.

This. Her and Goh JW could be potential threats in the future.

Also no problem for the WS defending champion as she beat her opponent in convincing straight sets.

Exactly Winning any medal in these two events makes a player one of the best..we have Peter Gades,LCW etc who have never won a Gold yet there myriads of WC medals r a testimony of how amazing players they r to be winnin these medals at such a large events.

I have respect for All Medal winners at WC and Olympics these two r like the biggest tournaments for Badminton in the world and thats why they give the highest points for these matches and I believe its these two tournaments which gives birth to legends.

Do you think Gronya might be the badminton version of Maria Sharapova if she wins some titles?
