Such spirited performance by Abian. Even though his racket skills were below par, he almost pulled an upset with his defense and energy on the court.

SK again dealing with his perennial problem: not able to generate a winning game on slow conditions. He gets into panic mode when his controlled attacks and delicate touches in the front court don’t pay him dividends. Not to mention, his defense is still not on level with a top 10 player.

Oh man! Sirant is getting smacked by Nishimoto in the second set. I mean 21-2! That is not a good day for the Russian.

Reminds me of Viktor's win against Malkov in TUC when Malkov lost 3-21.

Yeah. For the early rounds they seem to have adopted a policy of club coach + national coach. Shoji Sato for Momota is his club coach, for example. Aya's is her dad, he's sitting next to WS A Team coach Choi Sang Beom. She takes after her mother. :p

These JPN players need to learn to treat their opponents with more respect:D:D:D. It was Kanta yesterday, now it's Kenta.
Did I get that right? @kurako

I like tunjung but dunno what happens to her health it seems like she gets tired way too quickly..like one shot she just missed cause she was exhausted.
To my INA bros and sis i love INA n THA players but this girl needs some fitness.

I Think she has a great potential but she just gives away points quickly it seems like she gets bored of the game or couldnt keep up with the fitness and just let the game slip.

Cmon Tunjung plz keep up ur fitness girl.

Since that shot deception by Chen YF in 16-16, Jorji Tunjung cannot retain her good performance and she lost the first set!

Meanwhile, another promising youngsters Goh JW and Antonsen advance to the next round!

CYF staying calm and cool, helps to force GM to make mistakes.

The pretty Aya Ohori is the weakest of JPN A-listers.
