That's what I heard, unconfirmed rumours. If true, it explains why or how he lost to Momota in that manner at the INA Open semifinals encounter.
Well I doubt BWF would want to release just before the worlds that one of their most marketable players has been caught again. Best to pull out under the cover of something else and save the sports already terrible reputation.
He hadn't looked that good before that either, he looked rather paler and breathing in difficulty. I noticed it first in the match against Ng. But maybe we could get some confirmation later. Oh my mistake, the article said: It is learnt that Chong Wei fell sick since returning from the Indonesia Open. He crashed out in the semi-finals after going down to Japanese ace Kento Momota on July 7.
Might be a bit fishy to you that he won the Malaysia Open the way he did at his age against the most in form player at that moment in a very physical manner, but for all we know, he might have trained very hard and peaked a little earlier than the WC. So unless you or anybody else has any evidence for such claims it's better to not talk about a doping violation.
Oh-oh, now it seems the matter of LCW's suddenly withdrawal from the WC and the AG is moving into the territory of wild, speculative rumours. Don't think that's a healthy development ,hearsay, rumours and unfounded gossips, and suchlike can take a life of its own and hurt innocent people or result in unintended consequences, much to everyone's regret. Although there's no smoke without fire, making wild allegations or groundless accusations should be avoided , instead we ought to wait for concrete evidence or confirmation from the relevant authority. I seriously doubt LCW would be so foolish or careless as to make the same mistake twice, well aware of the dire consequences the second time round. It's a price too high to pay, not worth the risk at all as he is near retirement and at his age nobody would blame him for failing to achieve more than he already did. Enough said.
Firstly I am not trolling. I CANNOT BELIEVE the fact that no one seems to give a damn that LCW was caught cheating before! It is like you all forgot he brought the sport which already is run very poorly into disrepute by putting his own selfish needs in front of the overall wellbeing for the game. Does no one care? Do you actually believe that someone who has been in the sport for as long as LCW does not know what substances he or she cannot take? Do you actually believe that a certified team doctor would give LCW a banned substance when they are fully aware of what athletes can and cannot take? The timing is so incredibly off that something just isn't right. LCW has already RUINED one WC by CHEATING. It would be a good idea for BWF to save the embarrassment of this happening again by removing him in advance from upcoming competitions.
Pardon me, I didn't say or imply that you're trolling. If what you're insinuating has any truth to it, could you kindly provide the source of your information or evidence, if possible ? What happened in the past is not a solid basis for assuming what happened this time must be related or similar to it. It's like saying, once a thief, always a thief. No matter what, we still have to go by the evidence to establish guilt as required by the due process of law.
respiratory disorder? What kind of trouble is he facing? Saw on Twitter he hasn't been training for two weeks now.
