Woh, I don't expect either of you to pick Chen Yufei or Chen Xiaoxin. Both of them are still young and inexperienced, and they will be facing formidable opponents this round, Akane Yamaguchi and Intanon Ratchanok respectively. I'm even thinking the two wannabes may end their journey here later today. If you ask me, I've in mind Akane , Nozomi, and Sindhu, not in any order, to stand a chance of doing so; both Sung Ji Hyun and Intanon R have an outside chance too. There's also the mental toughness element for which Marin is one up on the rest, and, if her demolition of YipPY is any indication, she looks on course to capture her third world title. As for the four CHN prospects, I fear none of them would make it to the semifinals, at most one could, Sun Yu, looking at the draw, but still not more than 50-50, more like 40-60, as Sindhu has the tendency to perform well at the majors. Well, who knows, as it is, the first two rounds have already produced a couple of big surprises, anything can happen. We'll see.
Agreed, as much as i want it to be for a Chinese WS winner, i don't see it this time round, as i posted with specifically worded ''potential'', i think this time round is too soon for CYF and CXX. What i will say is i hate the way Marin plays this beautiful sport, up till now the behaviour of players has a certain decorum, she has single handedly smashed that into the weeds, i hope in years to come we don't have numerous squealing players all over the arena, look at the precedent Monica Seles did to Tennis.
Admittedly, yes, it's still too early for Chen Yufei and Chen Xiaoxin, both 19 years old, the potential is there undeniably. Personally, I prefer CXX's game to CYF's and I think the former will do better than the latter in future. He Bingjiao is, to me atm, a wasted talent, but, hopefully, at age 20, there's ample time for CBA to work on her and we may get to see her blossom and glow in all her glory one day. My wishful thinking right now. Sun Yu, to be frank, I'm somewhat pessimistic about her, doubt she can make another breakthrough in her career. She's 23 already and has been in the pro circuit for about 4 years or so, about time to show her true potential, or, I'm afraid, she's just going to cruise along for a couple of years before she fades into oblivion. Unless she proves me wrong by becoming another late bloomer in the mould of Zhang Ning.
Ah, My Friend.. I feel for you. Srikanth was such a joy to watch when he made that comeback. So scary too. I think he has a great future ahead. Looking foward to Korea Open and Japan Open.
Bro i couldnt care less about jabroni super series events. Dont want him to be the next LCW when he clearly has the ability to be the LD of his era. Next year will be tougher since Momo will be back and FRESH.
