Totally agree. LXR is one of the best Women Singles player. But she must learn from Lindan about the mental strength. It's the opposition who must feel the heat when they are playing. Lindan's defeat is a shocker but JOJ also a very good player and created much upsets. JOJ is very good when it comes to playing in Indonesia.

He need to face a very mighty and focused LCW. Expecting CL vs LCW in finals. Marin vs Nehwal in WS. But you cannot predict as it will be very difficult. We as a fan enjoy the thrillers :)

Nehwal Saina [2] Beat [CHN] Wang Yihan [6]
    21-15, 19-21, 21-19
    Congratulations! Semifinals! Medal winner!

She can play freely and realize her potential.
Saina saved India from the humiliation of 0 medals. I am so happy. She has broken a few mental barriers with this win! She now has to face a strong Indonesian crowd!
The Istora will be electric and I am sure it will be an exciting match! :D

All four different nationalities in all categories, except XD in tomorrow's Semi finals. Even in WD where China was expected to dominate, there are four pairs of different nationalities. It is still hard to challenge China in XD. I think Ahamad/Natsir has a lot of hard work to do in order to retain their title.

Saina will have to play against the crowd tomorrow. Let us see how she deals with it. She has previously beaten Lindaweni in Indonesia SS in 2013 in 3 tough games.

I remember her losing to then unfancied Indonesian MKY at Beijing 2008 QF. Mustn't take Linda lightly. She has beaten both Saina and Sindhu in the past and won the Syed Modi.

WHY is an incredible player. I think she along with Saina Nehwal are the only players in WS who are ranked among the best since 2009 or so.

I beg to differ, LXR is still superior in technique to CM,but unfortunately mentally weak in being unable to handle the pressure of the burden of expectations, simply not a big match player. Never mind, to each his own.

Anyone notice that CM doesn't shriek as much or loud anymore, or is it because it was very noisy in Istora?

True. These two are the longest continuing members of the top 10 at 7 years odd each

Totally disagree. CM is so arrogant and shouting at her opponent after each point. People say that it creates some sort of psychological pressure to opponents. But I don't think so as the players are all International with high quality games and just because she shouts after each point won't put pressure on the opponents. CM is a highly energetic player and can take her attitude to next level instead of being arrogant. A good player combined with true sportsmanship and respecting opponents will make to win hearts like what Wang Yihan did today irrespective of you win or lose.

Ahmad/Natsir won in 2013. The def champ is Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei.

Yes CM has a pathetic on court demeanour and is unwatchable without the mute button.

    I noticed that hug too.
I have said this before also, WYH is my favourite Chinese player. There is something about her looks and behavior that is so nice.
I have never been able to hate Yihan despite the fact she beats Saina all the time.
On the other hand WSX scares me to death with her angry face.

Congrats to Saina, but sad about Sindhu.
Sung Ji Hyun was superlative today. She might even beat Marin. Although I think it is 50-50 for SJH-CM.
Saina has to be careful tomorrow, as unlike most days, the whole crowd will be aginst her and LF is a very good player.

I was surprised that Chen Long managed to beat VA in straight games. I guess nerves got to him. Yesterday, the way he played against HSP was amazing. Well Chen Long is a monster. But I am rooting for LCW.

Lee Chong Wei and Saina are so deserving of gold medals!
    GO SN and LCW!

Shrieking as an expression of winning ( happiness) or loss ( frustration) post match / at a long rally / crtical point is something that most of the players did during their career. But shouting at each and every point is totally insane and meaningless. Infact, she loses lot of energy too.

Don't understand why the umpire gave a yellow card to Saina, after the match. He probably wanted to steal the limelight.

Many other players did the same before.

As i mentioned above, I didn't find CM shrieking much this time, but maybe Istora is too noisy...

LXR's matches are always exciting to watch. She's very humble and down to earth, my favorite chinese player.
