Another Korean player, bae yeon ju have just lost. And the third set match is so one sided too with Wang Yihan winning 21-8. Seems like the Korean player has given up the game after winning the second set. Anyway congratulations to Wang Yihan for winning the game and keep the China flag flying high.

So far HKV hasn't been able to force Lin Dan to show his true colors.

Once again, Lin Dan's smash is easily returned.

He just lifted his hand as a reflex saying he thinks it is out, then the line judge indeed gave it as out, by that time umpire was saying Lin Dan challenges, and Lin Dan just saw bit of humor there and went along with it.

Whereas LCW is still relying on his killer smash to send most of his opponents scrambling or leave stranded and winning points outright as often as possible, quite a high rate of success actually.

Sorry to say this but I it looks likely that more Korean players will lose the match today and more will be shown the exit today. However for the MD department Korea is very lucky to have a Korean MD vs another Korean MD so they are guaranteed a place in the QF. But definitely it will not be a Korean MD vs another Korean MD in the finals like last year.

Remember how Vittinghus pushed and stretched LCW at the US Open but he's not able to do the same to Lin Dan here.

Imagine a demolition job on a player of Vittinghus calibre.

China XD bounces back. Should win in 3 sets. I think China players have the greatest mental strength by far of any nation. Whenever they are taken to the 3rd set, they tend to win most of the time. I'd like to see some statistics of this to confirm my feelings.

Liu Cheng/Bao Yixin saved by the skin of their teeth to force a decider. I think they are not experienced enough to know how to handle such a pressure-cooker situation, much to learn from the seniors and on the battlefield.
