Yeah that's not true. CHN is still the undesired opponent. Last meeting of FukuHiro with Kititharakul/Prajongjai was 21-19 21-13 so that's not really close. To be sure JPN can put TakaMatsu up first and Tanaka/Yonemoto as WD2 so I don't really see THA beating JPN. Only AY looks shaky but NO is in finer form so far.

I'm surprised Malaysian coaches/players went along with the clowns' tactics of acting like clowns and baiting their opponents into attacking them aka playing their game -- all that space around Kevin and they kept to playing to him -- well, at least we fans of the clown got to see more of him jumping up and down, right?

Maybe all the other players/coaches are just as prideful as the clowns - and consider Niphitphon's way of lifting/lobbing the shuttle all over the cosmos (to make the clowns run after it) a little too undignified for badminton? LOL

Sometimes having a team too good can confuse the manager.

Like ThomasCup, its good that INA meet China. Whatever the result, its better than playing Denmark. Sometimes, its matchup issue.

I am rooting for CHN to win this. As for JPN vs KOR, whichever team wins it will still be a Korean victory anyway. Park Joo Bong vs Korean coaches.

Can CHN afford to field HBJ as WS1?

I think HBJ is on her way out of NationalTeam after being snubbed again.

It is different. Winning for your country is more satisfying than for the country that employs you.

That's from the players or coaches point of view. From my (mere supporter) point of view, it doesn't make any difference :)

CYF leading 11-5 at the interval.

Agree.. To be frank what I could "fear" most about this match is a V-A chopped up by K-M'S precision, calmness, coolness ,,etcetera > already in first game,, but if Viktor can manage to get through a first game with a somehow intact confidence and without bunches of unforced errors - (which quoted by V-A could be due 2 a heavy shoulder-arm feeling) Next if he would keep the level of emotions down to ground zero and appear less readable when it's getting painful would be a quite good step in the right direction :)

However at the end of the day I don't see V-A as winner of this match but I could be very wrong as well. I get the sinister sense that V-A know he has to grow some ugly long hair on his chest or anywhere else they can grow, more speedy than speedy. This match gonna be a mountain to climb and there is no further time for resting in base-camp this match is paramount for both players future, who will be the haunted

May the best M/W & team win on this fine day

    Peace&Love/ It's baddy not 3WW

I think Axelsen will spring a surprise here. Momota hasn't played anyone with Axelsen's style in over 2 years whereas Axelsen has gathered more strength and confidence in the said duration.

Hopefully CYF can keep up her momentum and motivation though, or else RI is going to turn this around very quickly.
