Hardly 39 celebrations like that today. I think we should be generous. Marin is my favourite player.

Common man. Surely not the worst. I have seen multiple players do it.

And no body even comes close to Carolina Marin in celebrations.

Happy that CQC and JYF were able to win it in the end. Otherwise, I dunno if that's something she can ever recover from.

    Too many given.

You seem to be new here. Sun Yu has proven to be a giant peaceful tree. No aggression, no smash, no grit. Nothing.

Why didn't China put this lineup against India and the previous lineup against Japan?

This lineup should have allowed them to win 3-0, I think that was their hope, but then also they were pegging Chen/Jia for the fifth match because of their positive record against Matsutomo/Takahashi.

Precisely, Chen Qingchen's celebrations may be excessive but it was still natural, uplifted by the big occasion, and confined to herself, not directed at the opponents.

Isn't Chou Tien Chen in his own way more or less like that, and usually for lesser occasions, sometimes even for the QFs of a GPG. I supposed it grates on supporters of her opponents, that's understandable.

CQC's not as annoying as Marin since she was doing it to pump herself up, not to intimidate her opponents. It is still too much though IMHO. JYF played far better than before with solid defense and few UEs.

It'll surely be tough on her had she tanked in both. Thank goodness - what a huge risk she took,or rather Zhang Jun took so as to have WS and WD the last two matches against JPN - she made it and all's well again.

This Sudirman Cup adventure is a baptism of fire for her, and it will definitely bode well for her going forward.

My concern is He Bingjiao, who's lined up for yesterday's QF against IND but didn't get to play, remains untested and thus missed out on benefiting from the baptism by fire that should stand her in good stead in future. Hopefully, she gets to play tomorrow against KOR.

watched the whole match... CQC's celebration mainly to boosting herself in such a high pressure match and done in her own backcourt and not to provoke the opponents, why someone could think this could be annoying & irritating...
