Beginner stringer here. Any tips on doing crosses from inside out of shared grommets? An example would be the A16 hole using the pattern for Yonex Astrox 88D. The gap to pull the main string away to insert the cross outside of the frame is so small and the angle to use the string mover is so awkward. Was so close to completing my first string job but I couldn't get past this hurdle. Am looking at getting a Pathfinder / Guide awl just to make it easier.
Do you have a string-puller? I just so happen to upload a video today here stringing an Astrox 88S so it's a similar type racket. If you have a string-puller, pull the particular main string towards the 12 o'clock position for the top half of the racket (A16 in your case) and the bottom half to the 6 o'clock position. You can probably use an awl to do the same thing but be really careful as it might slip off and damage/cut the string. This forum has given me loads of information and help over the years and its time I give back Hope the video helps.
I saw this video but didn't have any floss lying around to try :/ Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk
Didn't manage to see this video on YouTube. Will take a look to see how you did the last few crosses at the shared grommet areas. Was trying to use the string mover both on inside and outside of the frame. The moment I scratched the outside of the frame, I knew it was time to stop for the day Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk
