Yu's speed is amazing. Lydia is too laidback. Yu leads 7-4

Lydia needs to either slow Yu down, or match her speed.

    6-8 scoreline

Korean and Japanese girls like to shout after scoring a point. That's annoying.

Yu looked to be a better player than Mori. Maybe even Hirose.

    She wins, 21-13.

Overall, good fight by Malaysian squad.

Good performance by the MAS girls. Even those who lost fought well. I have to admit I did not expect them to rattle the Japanese so much.

Against HKG tomorrow, I believe we can win both the doubles. I also think we have the advantage in WS3. Furthermore, WMC and Julia are fighters who WC and Yippy cannot take lightly. I predict a 3-2 for MAS tomorrow and to achieve the top 3 target.

Looks like Malaysia will win 3-0. HK will be resting WC and YPY for singles. It should be a easy victory for Malaysia.

I guess HK's goal is simply to qualify for the Uber Cup finals round while Malaysia's goal is to get an automatic qualification (ie not need to worry about which European team finished 4th place).

Malaysia has secured a place in the final in Jakarta even they finished fourth place as Scotland finished fourth place among the European while Msia overall ranking is higher than them.

Anyway, I would like to see WMC against WC while Julia again YPY. Should b good games.

Unfortunatley, you won't have the chance to see those games tomorrow.

WMC won't be playing tomorrow. Julia Wong will be playing first singles for Malaysia. Her oppoent won't be Yip Pui Yin though. Hong Kong is going to field Ng Ka Shun for first singles and Mong Kwan Yi for 2nd singles.

Is the right choice, no point to put Mew Cho and Wang Chen/Yip Pui Yin in this meaningless grilling match. I wonder will the Final be the same substituting with 2nd stringers? I hope Malaysia and Korea(Thomas Cup) will field their best and take it as a practice session prior to the All England.
