K.Srikanth set the trend and is followed by others. :p

Good for badminton that new champions started to arise. Denmark team must be in cloud nine now.

    Victor !!! Partying now !!!

Are you from india ??? I have a doubt. Just wondering. How could you forget srikanth's victory over lindan in his hometown in 2 straight games in the China open SSP finals.?

Don't be over speculative into the wild area... it's simply Viktor played very good today while the Super Dan didn't play his best game. Just call it a Viktor's day and definitely not a Lin Dan's one ;)

The drive and motivation to stay on top of his game is something Lin Dan should realize by now is more than he bargains for. I'm afraid he would be forced to give more weight to badminton in his priorities in life, certainly from now until the Rio Olympics; simply making short-term plans to his schedule and adjustments according to circumstances may not be enough.

Lin Dan wants to help Chen Long secure the number one ranking for the olympics, that's why he gifted the match to the danish player.
Lin Dan is truly admirable, his generosity knows no bounds.

Why did Lin Dan not enter the finals and then lost to Chen Long? That will hurt his image less and he will not lose as many ranking points.

Tomorrow xue song vs Victor Axelsen.

Will Xue song take vengeance for Lindan's defeat?

    Only time will tell.

LCW would have beaten axelsen on a wheel chair . Only time will tell how LCW shows he is finally emerging as the worlds best despite the odds.

One thing I can be sure, Xue Song will be more excited to face Viktor Axelsen than Lin Dan tomorrow for he will have the relatively better chance to get through. Within the next 24 hours, we'll find out.

Did you read my comment? Srikanth's victory was last year, not this year.

That was last year. Don't give easy fodder to get your legs pulled. BTW this win is big for victor personally but not anything big if we go by the trend and reality.

I haven't seen the game, but if LD played the slow, lazy game like described here, he only has to blame himself. He can't expect winning against the vast majority of superseries players and hope to win on pure reputation.

True. I have been seeing him do a lot of commercial activities lately.

It's not so surprising that Lin Dan loses. At least not in my opinion.
He is old (relative old hehe).

He does not have the same power smash. He hardly smashes at all during all the matches I have seen since he came back to international tournaments.

His game plan is too predictive, clear, netshot, clear, netshot.

His speed is gone as well.

Simply said he is no longer the Lin Dan we know and that is just normal evolution. He reminds me of Taufik, slowly degrading until you quit.

On the other hand I truly am amazed about how consistent LCW is. He is a real hard working guy showing the world that he truly deserves to be the real champion of all :)

Yes right that's why he gifted China open to srikanth . he wanted to srikanth to become complacent and then lose out to Chen long. His tactics also knows no bound.

Lol I don't know what to say about this post...

"On the other hand I truly am amazed about how consistent LCW is. He is a real hard working guy showing the world that he truly deserves to be the real champion of all"

Yea he needs some trophies other than super series.

I'm also very surprised that LCW seems to have lost no speed at all. Even the commentator Steen noticed: "I think he's as good as new".

Also I've seen some new skills/tactics in his game; I bet Morten's coaching will really help him playing against players like Chen Long and Lin Dan. He has a very good understanding of the game.

Yes and a good excuse also, here are a couple of usable excuses for LD:
    -Bad hair day.
    -A case of critical sunburn
-Too much inside-nose stuff, will contaminate the arena if he plays
    -Hangover
-Accidently inhaled grip powder which led to acute asthma
    :p
